Everywhere I look people just down vote things for no reason. Some things make sense like that horrible post about tft lootboxes, but why do people down vote questions and polls that are purely viewer opinion based not saying anything of the posters opinion, or down voting people who have ideas. Sure some ideas aren't great but down vote spam isn't really needed. Just getting no upvotes should be enough. And it's really sad when someone asks a legitimate question and gets banished to down vote hell

Generally it's because they disagree with it. Sometimes the boards actually downvote shit because it's low-quality or OP lied, although that's becoming depressingly rare.

If you have a perfectly structured post about how Yasuo isn't OP in the slightest, backed up with 25 different data points, it'll be downvoted into oblivion purely because people disagreed with it, but we still see mass-upvotes on circlejerked topics.

I believe the league of legends forum is rigged, to defend the game. I had some topics which actually talked about a problem but I got just dislikes with no comment. (like autofill, a struggling champion).
