Actually annoyed of people insulting girls.

Hi! Im actually D2 rn and i main support. I play mostly enchanters because I like the trading mechanics that are pretty unique to these champions. I play mostly ranked games because I like to play with and agaisnt players that have my level. That is where the problem starts.

As a girl in high elo who mains support and enchanters I get a lot of people insulting me all the time. I just made 4 games in a row with people raging and calling things like "egirl XD", "You must be really pretty to hit this elo", "You must suck a lot of d*** to be in this elo". I normally report them but I never get any type of after game notification. Also, since when did it became trendy to insult someone by saying he/she's an egirl? It makes no sense.

It is starting to feel really heavy. I hit Diamond 2 alone and those comments are annoying asnd misogynist. IMight be time you guys start to punish more about it.

  • (And no, I dont go around telling people i'm a girl. It's never fun to have people asking for nudes or saying you're boosted.)

Women may be more likely to sexually harassed online, but I guarantee you that you'd still be receiving the same amount of flame overall if you were a dude And unless you're telling people every game your gender, they'd still be saying the exact same shit anyways

Yeah it is terrible. You would think people would not insult someone they have never met. I just don;t understand why so many people have an issue with women in games! And even on the boards there has been trouble. its worse when someone turns it around to be about how men have it bad. If I see ANY misogynistic or woman hating speech on boards it WILL be taken care of post haste. I think of my mom or sister ever going through this and it makes my blood boil. Not cool.

Never gotten this kind of treatment. Even when I was playing support/getting M7 on Janna, I didn't get this crap. Only sexism I've ever really gotten is getting replaced by a male ADC main and forced to be their support when I was on a casual team, and that is the most passive shit I've ever seen.

And you don't get an instant feedback report every time someone you report gets punished. I know for a fact that I didn't get one every time I reported someone who told me to kill myself, and that is an instant punishment.

Honestly this is the new passing craze that people do because they are immature and have 0 sense of how to not try and be insulting in chat. Some people insult because "then if i see you next game on the enemy team then you are already tilted and it will be an easy time" but quite honestly attitudes from quite a few diamonds can be absolutely ATROCIOUS! Win or lose they always blame their team for "being heavy" or "not ganking their lane so that means you lose their lane for them" or whatever else that pops into their small minded pea that rattles in their head. There are quite a few nice players in diamond too, but honestly the ratio of how many diamonds i have seen/played with that were toxic rivals the ratio of how many bronze/iron i have seen that were toxic. The difference is that diamonds tend to be less about gameplay attacks and try to make the attacks much more personal.

Question though, do you stream? If you do then you could potentially have people joining the stream after googling your name. Otherwise, they are assuming you are a female because of your name which if i remember correctly has been a females name in multiple animes.

As for the reports etc, you will not always get a report feedback.... but that does not mean they will not be punished. Though because the bot is not used to being updated for all of the passing crazes of "how shall we insult people this week?" You might send in a support ticket with a link to the league match (via the leagues match history site) that they were doing that stuff in.

As for some of the other comments on this thread? Dont worry. Reports are on their way.

Not sure why this is downvoted, basically play any enchanter in diamond elo and try to make any calls on the map, you'll get called a boosted egirl and need to shut up. For some reason people are super fragile these days.

Best strategy is to flame the shit out of them tbh. Never let those fucks feel like it's one sided. It's something you learn from jungling for years.

Maybe it's because I only play norms, but I'm a male and often play enchanters like Lulu or Soraka when I get filled support. Never had anyone bitch at me for being an egirl or question my calls because they think I'm female. Just because you like playing enchanter supports doesn't automatically make you a girl, so I dunno why this would even be a thing in high elo.

How do they find out you're a girl btw? Are they just guessing based on your champ choice, or do you tell them in champ select for some reason?

I'm not sure how I've played nearly ten thousand games across my accounts and never seen something like this. I play mostly co-op, with the occasional featured RGM or normal/blind for missions. Does it only happen in ranked or something?
