Im actually about to stop playing the game because of all those sexist comments, it makes me want to throw up. It happens about every single game and it feels like those player never have any consequences because theres just many of them.

tbf whether they discerned/guessed your sex or not, they'd be dicks either way for the exact same reason, because they can. The only alteration they make is the kind of trash they spew. Say something that even slightly resembles something group X would say, and you see similar adjustments in the kinds of insults they toss. Such is the nature of a petty, worthless brat... all they can do is attack the superficial, like a politician they can't stand on their own 2 feet, and instead have to stamp on the toes of others.

While one shouldn't have to. /mute all, disable/hide the chat ect. Not sure how long you've been playing, but if not for long you get used to it.

In the end, they're microscopic specs, living in an insignificant city/town, on a teeny tiny planet in an irrelevant galaxy. Why even gratify something so pointless with a response? Is it really worth your time and energy?

Well, a few games ago I've been flamed by a couple enemies because I dared to write (as I always do at the start of a game) in the global chat "Good luck and have fun, guys". Anyway, those guys are utterly disgusting. I've never seen something like that happening on the European server, seems like America has a major issue with the concept of respecting women.

Just report and move on. And maybe try to friend and play with ppl who you see are nice. It makes the gameplay much easier to have a pal who you know won't flame or harass you.

Some time ago one of my other accs was a main support with (Morgana, Soraka, Lulu) and somehow i was NEVER assumed to be a girl.... Just strange....

Exactly this. People seem even more sexist recently. Had one game I made the mistake of saying my friend will be right back when she disconnected and like the idiot I am, I said 'She'll' and then the Draven kept on calling her an egirl and ehunnie etc whatever he can think about and complain in all chat about having an 'egirl' as his support. Worst thing is when the rest of your team says nothing or joins in. More recently I myself experienced sexist comments just because I was playing Yuumi. I didn't even say a single thing that Yuumi game. People are dumb. I feel like punishments towards sexist comments should be harsher than just a chat restriction to get across the message its not okay to do.

I've played several thousand games and don't recall seeing this kind of behavior even a single time. Chat is usually dead silent, with the occasional "gj" or "we lose" or whatever. Half-hearted arguments are moderately common, but this level of banworthy behavior is an absolute rarity in my experience - especially with this such a focus. Perhaps the frequency with which you're seeing it is largely due to the familiarity factor you mention, with people at such a high MMR actually playing together multiple times and getting to know each other.

At the risk of getting downvoted into oblivion, here's a piece of advice. Stop telling people you're female. You're quite obviously doing it, and you're doing it often if you're seeing this much sexist nonsense in the chat regularly.

Hey, I won't say don't worry about it, but let me explain to you the idea behind stereotyping people in a condescending way.

Many people that do this kind of thing feel inferior and weak because they have no argument to stand on. They are mentally unstable, due to various factors, and take the easy road and put others down for aspects of themselves they either cannot change, or should not change. The truth is women can kick my ass in most video games. I'm a guy, but I have seen through experience that male or female shows absolutely no cognitive difference in terms of how we play the game. Guys that do this aren't actually trying to actively insult you to hurt you as their only goal. They need something to step on in their moments of failure because they are weak emotionally.

I'm not making excuses for these people or invalidating how you feel. I just want you to know possible reasons that are not related to you at all may be contributing to your issues. I want you to know that I care and think about how this affects women. And the sad thing is, they're shooting themselves in the foot. I for one would love it if more women played video games, so I could meet them online and maybe become friends and find my partner through an associated network. I can't imagine a world in which these guys would act this way towards women and not expect to be single for a very long time.

So really, it all amounts to stupidity and immaturity. I am sorry you have to take our immaturity, but know that in the end, you'll come out ahead of them because you don't need to put someone down for something outside of their control to make yourself happy.

As a solution, since I didn't really give you one, play games unmuted, find some respectable people, add them and then play with them.

Also, ask people from the boards who have similar issues to add you and play with you in game. League should be less about randos and more about community building.

Don't talk to people. It's that simple. I don't care about the random shit they say, especially on my team. Just realize there is absolutely nothing they could say that adds to the game. Sure, they can spam :) and "nice play" all they want, but that's not gonna impact me. Odds are much higher that they complain or flame, which WILL influence how I play.
