Mass manipulation strategies (Twisted Treeline related)

Hi all! To keep it short I just selected the 2 most related:

(Gradually create problems and then offer solutions -the most convenient solutions for you-)

  1. Just apply it gradually, let something drop, for consecutive years. When it becomes really bad, present solutions or use it as an excuse for the incomming changes.

(Deferring strategy)

  1. Presenting unpopular decisions as “necessary”, “for a better future”, or “for our own good”. They make the public genuinely believe that their sacrifices will lead things being significantly better later on. So the citizens get used to a lower quality of life. They start seeing it as normal. Ultimately, the people will resign themselves to the current state of things and will stop demanding what they were demanding.

What do I mean with this? I have been so annoyed with the TT Riot decisions. Of course it's a business and they care about money.

But what made me really annoyed is seeing some players agree with them and defend them forgetting why the players of this mode dropped. How Riot abandoned it and then, use the actual facts and numbers to support this decision.

Every mode and every game will start dropping and dying when the developers don't care anymore. I feel so sad for the players who love TT and sincerely care about it.

as with dominion, instead of making a real effort to address the problems of the mode and build on its scucesses, they simply leave it to rot so they have an excuse to delete it later.

Except they did make changes to TT. Itemization, champion balance, even map updates, all to try and get more people to play the mode. It didn't work.

Riot has access to all the data, which means that they could see if the player base would boost up when they made changes. Judging by their decision to just remove the mode, I'm guessing it didn't go up by much, if at all.

I've been on the Boards when they've made changes to TT. There was basically no noise about it at all. I'm sorry that the mode is leaving, I really am, but the simple fact of the matter is that basically no one was playing it, and that's just not something Riot can keep around.

Everything they do is for a "better future" they said this with Dominion with NB.... Where is your future where, why is it not coming? All we have seen is a trainwreck going downhill.

Stop these stupid fucking posts already.

I used to play TT back when i first started. Stopped playing it regularly after irelia or riven were released, hard to remember the exacts.

No one. And i repeat. No one. Played TT. Not when they were actively balancing it, not now, not ever. I climbed to 30 playing tt almost exclusively, back when riot made changes to balance it. Queues were lengthy and matchmaking was shit.

Dont pretend riot didnt try. The community gave far less effort.

But what made me really annoyed is seeing some players agree with them and defend them forgetting why...

This happened with defense items. I'm pretty sure thats part of the reason they didn't keep nexus blitz.

If they kept it too much longer people would have started to enjoy tanking in that mode again, and then just never play summoners rift again.

Hi, played since season 3, (my other account is JackMcSnipeyz also EunE) i've been here when TT was reworked and updated, guess what - nobody cared, sorry, it's true, TT always had VERY SMALL playerbase, they added items, changed buffs and added extra turrets, people didnt care. It takes me about 5 minutes to find a game at peak times when im with a full team myself and the match making is horrible, you can get matched with silvers against diamonds.

Just face it, people never liked it cause the absolue majority is too competetive for the laid back nature of TT, and as sad as i am to see it go (as i actually play it from time to time) i can also understand why supporting it is a waste of company's budget and time.

Even when they committed recourses into the game mode there still was zero interest in it.

You can’t force people to like something.

It is full of bots and beyond that rarely have I played against skilled players in the mode meaning there is zero enjoyment in the matches.
