riot tags and social media
Been noticing that quite a few rioters changed their display names on Twitter and think they've also been changed on Reddit. And to quote a rioter on Reddit > The OP mentioned that they felt like a lot of valid criticism was getting rolled up with some bad folks targeting Rioters. This cuts in our direction as well - I want to be able to communicate openly with players, but I'm scared to do so if my opinions are gonna end up getting me targeted by bad people. Last weekend, I was truly frightened that people would come after me, because I had posted about this stuff since this conversation started. I thought about deleting my Reddit account and taking Riot out of my name in-game. Even if Riot doesn't officially change their policy to make it stricter, you might see a change in the way some Rioters communicate in this atmosphere. For me, it's making sure I protect myself and feel safe. It sucks, but that's the way it is.
You guys got your wish, Daniel and Gentleman Gustaf are gone, and the rioters will most likely be very hesitant in any reply they send or any comment they post. I don't blame them if they stop altogether. Super proud of the community today. Down vote away and keep the circle jerk going.
