I logged into league today after not playing for a while, and your still running the same shenanigans, for the demacian vice garen/lucian skin, if you dont buy the border from the tokens shop, and opt for the chroma, its almost 25$ to buy the border because an excess of content is forced. It makes you purchase the chroma pack + the pointless red chroma, and the ward along with the regular content being, an icon, skin, and border. I'm worried with the release of project pyke the same thing is going to happen again, and its a legendary this time so it would be a heftier price tag, and the chromas for the pyke skin have been shown off so this is bound to happen. Riot please dont make this a standard going forward, as it's a much worse experience.

How are people still going to complain when 3 years ago there was no way to obtain skins without purchasing riot points aside from a few exceptions? Most games have always put paywalls in front of cosmetics without any form of obtaining it by simply playing. Regardless if hextech crafting is extremely RNG based, it's more than we had before.

The borders are barely a cosmetic, and chromas are a small price to pay if you're really picky enough to want a different color scheme where as before you had to buy a whole new skin if you wanted Taric, but green.

It's about exclusiveness and variety, people paid hundreds for exclusive pax skins that they missed out on obtaining via ebay. At least if you buy $100 worth of cosmetics from the shop the profit goes towards the game you're playing.

yeah its disgusting.. especially token missions being limited unless you buy the token pass, and it feels bad every time i see it but i doubt riot will stop doing things like this.

they need the extra money from worlds & lcs and believe it or not people actually pay money for stuff like that

"Don't complain because the game is free" is the additude that helped lead to Event Passes instead of actual events

Riot makes more than enough money that we're happy to give, but silencing ourselves because Tencent needs ALL the money hurts the game

A boarder has to be the dumbest thing you can worry about. Why do you even care about the boarder? Or icons? Anything other than the skin is so pointless my head spins and trying to imagine why this matters to anyone. At this point we can ask: What about your greed? There are lots of things riot needs to shape up about, boarders and vanity are not on that list. If you are losing your shit from the most mundane of vanities then you sir need to reexamine your own priorities. I paid for the arcade pass. 1650rp was it? I have 1 prestige skin, 2 KO chromas, and i dunno 6 or so skins from the arcade skin box (2 loots bags btw) rerolls. I got more than my money's worth out of that event, in fact, I'm happy to give league a break I played so much.

Yeah it seems like they are getting desperate. Rushing in new champions, skins, etc meanwhile the game is falling apart

Then don't buy skins? You play a free to play game, and skins and bonus content is how Riot makes their money. You'd complain if you had to pay an annual fee to play League. You'd complain no matter what Riot does so just don't play the game then kid.

Free to Play game, cosmetics cost money, and extra small cosmetics that don't do anything cost money. Champs are super easy to get for free and random skins are super easy to get for free if you're good at the game and aren't toxic. If you went to a store for clothes it's not for free so what's the difference? Riot gives enough free shit you even get a free orb every event in a quest which is basically a free skin or currency towards one. It's not the end of the world if you can't afford a skin but don't act like it should be free.

Agreed! Im tired of having to spend over 10 dollars in rp just to be able to buy one skin. Then they change the champion or the mechanics, or buff, or nerf, and suddenly you are forced to buy an entire new kit. Is embarrassing to ask my friends to play because of how expensive it is to feel equal to others in looks, and then is quite hard to play with a noob friend as a higher noob against toxic losers. Something needs to change. Give away skins, heck i can draw every champ in under 1 minute each, diff look too easy, come on now. Greed is apparent! Ive spent hundreds of dollars in less than two years to find a one trick pony, then its nerfed or else. Riot seems like a joke. I however love the game, the cut throat competitiveness, and since im disabled Army Ranger Veteran it helps me pass time and stay alive shutting down champs that also means that i will one trick pony the entire repertoire and like me there is millions. My ocd means i will buy all skins. That is what they prey on. Ocd folks. Depression. Ptsd, the need to fit in and belong, etc. We need it for morale, they rip us apart for it, they dont care how we feel, or like RuneScape they would have algos for bot shutting, banning, etc. I dont think that will ever change unless we all quit. I am no quitter! Lmao greedy Lol needs to gaf about its community. We pay your checks!!!! RLTW

I pretty much only buy passes but even the arcade pass was scummy with orbs and a "discount" that didn't even make sense.

Riot is going banking on collectors and whales because, surprise surprise, they invested all their balance into LC$ and it's not making them any money, so they're just digging their heels into the fresh fresh (fucking beaten) soil of the skin farm.
