Why is Riot killing off Summoner's Rift and the original 40?

Riot has decided to systematically kill off the original 40 one by one, and now they are turning Summoner's Rift into the failed Twisted Treeline. Is Riot tired of the success of the original characters that made League of Legends what it is? Is Riot tired of the success of Summoner's Rift, because there's Summoner's Rift and then there's . . . well, who cares, because there's Summoner's Rift, but not for long, because Riot is destroying Summoner's Rift?

Is there no one left at Riot who even cares how League of Legends became the most popular game on the planet? Does anyone from Riot even play the game and interact with the normal people who play the game?

People are saying the same about Pokemon but Pokemon Sword and Shield sold 6 million copies in 3 days. I think that these changes make the game more popular and profitable at the cost of older players loyal to the older game.

The fact that they've managed to keep the OG 40 relevant and playable is amazing given how long the game has been around. And given how long it's been around, none of the originals have been retired, just reworked to bring them in-line with the more modern champions. Not to mention a few of the originals still have their original kits (but you still suck Garen).

As to the new map modifications, it's no different than when they added jungle plants, elemental drakes, and reworked rift herald. It's something new to change the landscape a bit and give players something new to play around so the game doesn't get stale.

League is changing, people ask for change, people ask for new maps, Riot made the map new like the people wanted if people fail to accept that then it is the community that is failing to accept the changes they asked for.
