Alleged Reasons for Ban (China)

  1. Female characters reveal to much
  2. Social rewarding based on rank
  3. Chat room

Now, let’s be honest here... riot can’t change these things to meet the requirements. This is clearly being used as leverage by China to negotiate something for all the games that are banned. Thoughts?

Because they don't like freedom of expression, which is the human spirit.

I suspect that there will be a fairly relaxed deadline for such changes to be made in, during which the Chinese government may or may not withdraw the change request. If it's a 5 year deadline, it's nothing to get overly worked up over.

With how much is going on politically between the US and China right now, particularly the Huawei exec being extradited to the US for trial, it wouldn't surprise me if this is some sort of bluff - a "you pressure our businesses, we'll pressure yours" type of move. I'd wait for more details to come out before assuming it'll cause issues.

It's more than likely due to gay characters. Mindless factory movies don't have them because China audience. Disney will never include them because China audience.

You guys just make my day, the "news" was from a gaming community joke, and a brain-less TV show eidtor copy it to the news. We Chinese do not believe after seeing that, but it is freaking fun to see you guys looking for the "reasons." and some of you guys finally can express some rediculous speech and will not get banned. gay character, free speech, how lovely you are. lmao
