A positive message & tips to staying positive!

We all get frustrated during our games. We've all heard that your chances of losing increase dramatically when you 'flame' your team mates. We know that spreading the negativity is going to promote a loss instead of a win. And yet, we decide to hit the enter button, and give our own team mates a peace of our own mind! We get satisfaction out of talking down to one another. Even the matches that our team is winning in blow out fashion, we often feel the need to speak our mind and ridicule one another!

We could go on and on about the reason's why we are so negative, but ultimately here's the way I see it... Play your best, no matter the circumstances, and you'll become a better player. If we spend our time ridiculing one another in game, our focus shifts from winning, to losing! Once you take your eyes of the mini map, once you deviate from concentrating on winning, you are in jet stream to a loss. Every day I play league, and I love it! I want to spread a message that's positive. I want to help people really understand how to stop spreading negativity.

Start with self discipline. If you know you are going to become frustrated and criticize members of your team, decide before the game even begins that you will avoid typing. Start there, just decide to completely remove yourself from any dialogue in game. It will help you to 'mute all' when the game starts as well! Don't tell your team what you're doing, just mute all, and decide to not type anything! Go into your game settings and minimize the 'chat scale' so that it's difficult to read. Doing all of these thing's will help you focus on playing the game, and will prevent you from becoming distracted!

Over time, you'll notice a shift in your attitude as you play the game. You'll have less mood swings during a game, you'll win more, and most importantly you'll enjoy playing more. Once you've mastered the technique of not spreading negativity, you can start becoming a positive figure in the community. You can be the team mate that starts every game off with a positive message. Keep it simple, because some people become tilted just by reading an overly dramatic positive message. Something like, "Let's play our best & stay focused team!", or "I'll be trying my best to win for all of us". That set's the tone, and really can help boost your team mates & your sense of confidence. So there's a few tips for ya'll, I hope you got something from my message today!

The neco.

This is a very nice message and all, but I will step in and point out that it is increasingly demoralizing when a team mate just stands there and watches you die, your ADC builds the wrong items and does dps on the level of a Janna support by 40 min in, or the schmuck who got autofilled as a support didn't buy a gold gen item and instead fights your ADC for CS.

In glorious Gold rank no less. :>
