Be honest here, if you found an unconscious stranger on the sidewalk, what would you do? The poll is anonymous. For this situation lets say that its clear that you're not in any danger and there's no shooting, fire or any other obvious hazards going on around you.

Does kicking them to see if they're alive count as helping?

As from what I remember from CPR class.
slightly shake them and ask if thy are ok. Check to see if they are breathing Check to see if their heart is beating If they are. then call 911 an stay until someone arrives, and dont touch the person at all If they are not breathing, get someone to call 911. then check inside their mouth for an obstructing object and remove it if there is. If not, then perform mouth to mouth 2 times, and then check again for obstruction. continue until medics arrive. If thy are not breathing an have no heart rate, get someone to call 911, get someone to grab an AED if there is one nearby. Remove the persons shirt and bra accordingly. Start on cycles of 30 compression followed by 2 breaths. If there is an AED, then turn it on and follow the instructions. Which if I remember is the same 30 compression and 2 breaths, but with a shock in between.
Call the authorities. One should never let the bystander effect happen.

As someone trained in First Aid/CPR/Basic Life Support, I'd probably feel pretty obligated to help them. I'd go check on them carefully and if they were unconscious, call 911 or get someone else to, then see if they needed CPR and help as much as I could.
1: Sense out danger around. Might be a trap 2: Poke em with a selfie-stick. Might be a trap 3: See if there is anyone around who has information 4: Call 911, tell operator calmly the situation and my concern and ask how to proceed. If they want to send someone, stay until that person comes 5: Observe, learn, have a chat. 6: Continue on my way

1: I'm in a hurry, ok, bye, sorry. 2: Continue on my way

First, I'd make sure there's nothing obviously wrong with them that immediately requires action, then I would call the appropriate authorities.

I couldn’t vote, mostly because I’d do both two and three. I myself am not a trained medic, so I wouldn’t take any drastic steps, but if there was something obvious, like they were bleeding or something, I’d take some sort of action to try and better their chances. I would not leave them until I confirmed from the paramedics that they were at least alive and there was a chance they could be saved.

Its interesting that no one here chose the ignore option yet, instead some of you would rather steal or drag them to "the cave" than ignore.
I've passed by many unconscious people on the street..all of whom were homeless and either just sleeping or drugged out of their minds.
I would probably just assume it's another homeless person and ignore. If there were obvious signs of injury, then I'd absolutely call 911.

As Jikker mentioned, step 1 for first responders is to call 911 and then attempt to resuscitate the individual.
