Riot's philosphy to set players up to fail in promos has to go!

Prior to my promos, I won 15 out of my last 20 games. Right when I get to gold promos, I went 0-2. Not only were these games losses, they were miserable failures that were completely one-sided.

Game 1: 5-28 Game 2: 9-26 - This game, I even had a Trynd on my team that sold all his items and bought tears. After we got a few kills, he said, "oh we are coming back" and bought bortk. Game 3: 16-24. Had no team. Every lane lost.

Now, I know I didn't play my best in these two games either, but my teams fed so hard so early that every time I did try and gank or help, I died in a couple hits. I couldn't fight anyone without dying in seconds.

Tell me with a straight face that Riot doesn't set you up to fail in promos. Why does Riot feel like this should be part of advancement to get roflstomped in your promos until you finally get lucky?

I am going to keep this thread rolling to further prove my point. Last year I got to gold promos 12 times and couldn't get past it. So I am going to actually keep the stats rolling for this season.

2nd Attempt at Gold Promos again went 0-3.

Game 1: Bot lane and Mid lane fed miserably. Game 2: Lost in champ select. Our mid was last pick and made us an all AD team while the other team had 3 tanks. Game 3: Bot lane fed Xayah. Xayah was 0/6 at 8 minutes. Mid also fed an Azir.

They don't though. It's literally perception bias at its finest, and statistically you will be being matched with slightly better people in your promos as you have to actually be winning games to get to them. Any "setting you up to fail" is, bluntly, bullshit.

Riots done a few Nexus talks about it recently; here is one of them.

Nobody sets people up to fail.

That is not even statistically possible, the overall winrate has to be 50%, there cant be more losers than winners.

I won 8 of the 10 games and got placed in Silver 5, which is where I was at the reset. Then, I suddenly started losing a crap ton of games because I got a lot of feeders, trolls, and afks. I went from Silver 5 to Bronze 3 within 2 days.

I know it sounds crazy, but I felt like I was being paired with people far below my skill level or people who have behavioral issues on purpose. I seriously had someone rage quit or intentionally feed in every game. I had to start being in a duo with my friend in order to stop some of the toxicity, and now I'm stuck in Bronze 2 because my friend doesn't want to play with me....he legit thinks my league account is cursed. Ive honestly thought about quitting league becasue this "curse" has ruined it for me.
