Champion Releases

Is it me or has Riot been putting less and less effort into releasing new champions? Kai'sa's release was probably one of the most underhyped and boring releases I've ever seen and I feel like it's going to continue this way. One of the most hyped releases I can remember is the release of Jhin. They changed Vi's, Sona's, Garen's and Zed's champion portraits for at least 2-3 months because Jhin "killed them" in his promotional trailer. He has his own lore which pretty much of every new champion has, but even his theme as a serial killer who looks through his killing as art and beauty is genuine. He is the one of two ADCs that has a reload mechanic and has no mobility besides if he lands a crit. Jhin was created with an identity that stood out from the rest of the ADCs at the time. I really wish Riot could slow down the champion releases and work more on introducing them, hyping them up and getting everyone excited and left thinking until they released their abilities.

I like how you used one really great example and the only one that had tons of effort put into hyping them. Almost all champs don't get that kind of tease, and it's not really a big deal. People wouldn't want slower champ releases just so the champ can be teased better. That's stupid.
