New law in Oregon now allows residents to pump their own gas
And Oregonians are freaking the fuck out about it.
What a strange land this..Oregon is..

Lol well this kinda reminds me of NJ because people don't pump their own gas there either. Pumping gas is a very basic task so I have no idea how people could complain about it lol
I thought this law helped teenagers get jobs
When I was living in New York, I drove through NJ and sometimes filled up there. Was so weird to not be allowed to pump my own gas. I've been doing it for years and even used an old, rickety, probably not safe really pump when I was working with State Parks to fill up the truck. I don't see why it's considered dangerous or difficult lol
That's always so interesting. I didn't know how to pump gas for a lot time because I lived out near a small town and they were always full-serve and I always got gas there, but I asked my father to teach me when I moved into the city because I was worried that I would take a long time and upset someone. It was the easiest thing in the world.
Just because people are allowed to pump their own gas doesn't mean that you can't still offer the service. Most gas stations around here are half-serve where they serve one side and you pump the other, or sometimes it really is one or the other but when they pump, they can make mistakes that you have no choice but to pay for, so unless it's -30 outside, what's so bad about pumping yourself?
Pathetic, if you can't pump your own gas you shouldn't be driving. Basic car related duties like this should be a requirement for driving, I don't like changing a tire but if I had too use my spare it wouldn't be a problem to switch it.
I still remember the time a lady asked me where her washer fluid was located. Sure I helped her and explained the washer fluid symbol but holy fuck I was speechless.
