Lee Sin - I want to try him... but I'm probably going to feed my butt off...

Non-ranked, of course. I main Sejuani and I enjoy playing Xin Zhao. Lee looks ridiculously hard to play and I'll probably appear as though I'm inting... but I really want to try to get good with him.

Any advice?

Oh, and my ping hovers around 65 most of the time. I know that's a big deal because of his Q.

He's more of an easy to learn difficult to master kind of deal. His kit is pretty straight forward there's just a lot more you can do with him when you put the time into it. Maybe watch Gripex play him. He's probably one of the best Lee Sins out there.

You out damage almost everybody in the early game and almost nobody in the late game. Dont let things drag out when you're doing well or it wont last long.

If you want to get used to some of his manuvers (which usually include ward jumping and get in/get out plays) you should try some vs AI matches even in solo to get used at some clicking, then you can go test it in pvp (that's what I do with each new character). You already have some experience in the role so you won't be that bad.

Test him out before you buy him; wait until he's on the free rotation.

Check out you-tubers and read up on how and when to use his combos and what his play style is like. Play some bot games. They're there so you can learn, utilize them. Learn to gank with him, learn your match ups. Make use of the practice tool. Usually when I'm learning a new champ I play them in bots until I can get a good KDA before deciding I need something more challenging. I'd suggest having the same goal in mind.

and THEN go to PvP games where all you have to learn about him is how to PvP.

use practice tool and practice his combos hes really fun and its not hard to get his combos down, and dont forget when flash kicking charge up your kick before flashing it doesnt work the other way around

Lee Sin seems like garbage. I usually don't lose to him, even when he snowballs. He can't carry since he doesn't scale.

I usually play ADC or top, so yeah he does kill me a lot.....but being a Vayne Main I have the luxury of farm+time on my side.

It's always funny watching the 8-0 Lee Sin lose.

Just play him

Also only go for high kill potential ganks

Ascension/Dominion are good for trying new champions since you can hop right into the mechanics without having to farm first.

Play him first, to get a feel for what his abilities do. Then watch pros play him, take notes on the ways they use his kit. It will help you learn a variety of tricks for using him without messing up your initial impressions of how to use him.

Also R -> Q1 -> Q2 is a bullshit combo that takes all the skill out of landing Q. (You can probably tell I'm salty about it :P ) If you want to abuse this mechanic it will help you to get kills on squishies when you have built damage.
