Why do people think they deserve something?

So many people are getting angry because they aren't getting compensated enough for their runes purchases. I just sit there looking at these posts wondering why they think we deserve any kind of compensation at all. You've been playing a FREE game for years and you're mad because you didn't get enough of the FREE stuff in the game? The biggest argument is the time spent getting the IP to pay for all the runes. Runes don't cost money so the only thing that you actually use up is your time. The only problem with that argument is that the time you spent gaining IP is the same time you spent playing the game. You know the free game that doesn't force you to pay for anything to play it. Just playing the game gives you IP which, since the game is free, gaining IP is also free. The game itself IS the compensation, you greedy people. A skilled enough player could easily play the game with no runes. Would it be efficient? Hell no. But they could do it and still do just fine.

When the rune change was first announced, before RIOT said anything about keeping rune pages, the only people that deserved compensation were the people that paid actual money on pages. It would be like buying an Xbox, and then having Microsoft employees come up to you telling you that you can't use it anymore and taking it away with no compensation whatsoever. If RIOT didn't say anything about keeping pages and didn't give any compensation, then it would've been perfectly fine for people to be mad...but only mad because of the pages not being refunded.

Point is, the game that you don't have to pay anything for to do anything in is plenty for compensation. Riot is going above and beyond trying to make greedy people happy with the extra shit they are giving to people who, after seeing how much hate they have for it, don't deserve it.

TL;DR: No one DESERVES any compensation for a free game with a free(only time is used up) rune system in it that you didn't have to pay money for. The game is the compensation. Downvote this post all you want, but the hate for the rune compensation is completely uncalled for.

TL;DR 2: I have nothing to say to the people that don't like the level cap changes and stuff like that. This post is only about the rune compensation.

Ok I'll bite

Why aren't all them new players who get the full refund getting 100 IP/BE for their basic runes and as low as 10% of the value of their quints? Why only the players that played this game a year or longer? What reason is there for a double standard on compensation for a system that there are boosts designed for since it's pretty much the main IP sink other than champs?

I'd have rather had no compensation on a full transition rather than us getting second class citizen compensation lol. I understand part of the reason was that we have more time to get more runes, but wouldn't it make sense for dedicated players to have more potential IP to spend during the sale they're planning anyway as a reward for keeping the game populated, active and engaged? I don't feel owed anything but they did promise a 40% refund at first, which was already bad, and now they've made it fixed amounts even tho every rune has different prices and new players are still getting a full refund. They keep making the deal worse every time they talk about it.

Because people are entitled but be carfull I posted a comment telling people to stop being so entitled about this very issue and it was removed by a warden. You cant hurt peoples feelings now, that's against the rules.

Because the old vets actually spent a ton of money on boosts. I've been playing for 8 years and still purchased boosts in 2017 for IP. Stop saying it's free when we spent money on it. Literally- We spent money on it. Money was spent.
