It seems like every few months you get a new person spamming GD with their youtube channel and getting massively downvoted each time. The worst case of this I saw was zkox cause that was just a straight plague on boards for a while. More recently is Nubrac who seems to have been nice enough to stop his semi-daily posts.
The only positive self promotion I've ever seen on boards is Chickenwrap, but I haven't seen him stream post recently anyway
I don't like the idea of banning self-promotion, but having limitations on it would be good

This way, if there is genuine interest in what you are doing, your self-promotions will remain noticeable. Otherwise, they should fall off.
Self promotion can be healthy if done properly. Think about college esports for example, if a college coach comes onto the boards but isn't allowed to promote his/her program, how are they expected to recruit players efficiently and effectively?

FWIW, it's been life issues. As soon as things settle down in my area, I'll be right back to Streamposting and annoying everyone with it again. Also, can I ask why you think that?
