Zilean buffs where?

Zilean has been in the shitter for so long I'm wondering when he's going to get any meaningful buffs of somesort. As a mastery 7 zilean with over 140K mastery points I'm finding it very hard to maintain my high winrate on zilean and climb back into diamond. I feel like he needs just some small buffs, what I'd be looking for would maybe be a cool down buff on his early game E to go from 15 to 13 or slightly raise his rank 2 - 3 q damage. I want to be reasonable but it just feels frustrating sometimes

you should see i0ki's zilean. don't tell me that a full 10-15 second combo chain that HURTS is a bad champion.

I exaggerated a bit in the beginning but I do feel he needs some small early game buffs

I think the problem is his items. What's a support zilean supposed to build?

Yeah, Qmax support Zilean loses just about every lane matchup, and maxing E for mid game power makes any AP items a waste - bomb damage still won't matter, even with Thunderlords, and the extra ult healing isn't worth it. Then he's locked into Redemption/Mikael's every game, where again half the stats are wasted (Zilean is the rare enchanter whose kit gets essentially nothing out of heal/shield power).

Also, support Zilean really wants the 5% CDR in cunning, but he can barely use the keystones. Windspeakers barely helps his ult without AP investment, so it only synergizes with item purchases. Your damage still blows with Thunderlord's, let alone procing Stormraider's ever.

Though I will say, the new Athene's as a 5th or 6th item is a frankly absurd powerspike. When you finally max Q, and get all that free AP from the mana regen you've been stacking...support my ass.

You're gonna die trying to proc tl as a support zilean, you're way too squishy to get it off until at least level 2 when you have double bombs. And even then if you walk up to auto once you can give the enemy time to catch you after the stun. I usually just take windspeakers bc hey more hp for when i ult and that 5% cdr is juicy. But that is decidedly lackluster compared to what other champs get from their masteries.

I see the same problem with redemption and mikaels but i still build it anyways bc there's not much else that seems useful.

Yeah, I just feel he needs some small buffs to make him feel less pitiful. I'm ok with him not being in the meta in fact I think that's how it should be but he feels really hard to be able to proficientally climb as support zilean as it just seems lackluster

It's pretty lame but I think he needs a complete rework like Poppy and Sion. Or at least change his theme or something he doesn't feel like a time guy lmfao.

Zilean is weak where exactly? His waveclear is high, his CC setup is strong, his speed boost+slow are powerful, great damage, hard to lockdown with item changes letting him donate ulti more. He's still as powerful no in fact he's even stronger than he was previously as long as you ward the map properly. Unless you mean support zilean then idk anything about it.

I prefer support zilean though I play mid for ranked because it works better. It's why I'm asking for E cd buffs for early game
