Is it time to rethink ranking and LP

I don't believe any work has been done in regards to ranking up and LP. I am thinking that maybe LP should be replaced with a better fixed system like stars ala hearthstone. I couldn't see any issues with using starts instead of LP. It would actually be better to have a fixed method versus a variable numeric value that often ends with LP being 98 or 99 or 93. It feels kinda bad.

If you are even looking at your LP you're focused on the wrong thing.

You can ignore the League System entirely, it actually doesn't do anything and acknowledging it at all leads to the type of misguided and disheartened feelings you now have.

MMR is still all that matters.
