Why some Rioters don't want to respond to *all* BE/OE threads

Now let’s talk about that fifth and final thread. Boy do I have some thoughts about it. Now, I actually am working with the team that made the new leveling and rewards systems, so I thought about responding to that one. But once I read it I couldn’t figure out how it managed to get upvotes. Look at this line in particular:

That’s straight up untrue. You get 20% of a skin’s value in orange essence when you disenchant skin shards. So it’s not true that it would take 8 975RP skin shards to get one skin.

So, I’ll be honest, I thought about replying to that thread, but the prospect just felt exhausting. When you guys upvote threads full of super aggressive rants or just misinformation, you shouldn’t expect Rioters to give time to it. I think we owe it to you guys to listen to what you have to say, especially when you’re being critical, but we aren’t required to make an appearance in every thread.

TL;DR: We read everything you guys post, and a lot of times we get really useful feedback from the boards, but I don’t think we owe a response to every single thread. Sometimes we don’t have an answer, and sometimes threads are just dumpster fires. Just sharing my honest perspective on it.

If your thread is just a rant or uses extremely and blatantly incorrect math, don't expect Riot to come in and set you straight. If you have a complaint, do your research, word it well and nicely, and propose a solution and you might get them to respond.

None of this is based on my status as an Advisor, and I haven't personally talked to any of the Rioters involved with this team. That being said, the threads I've seen range from somewhat decent ideas to absolutely horrid rants that call for people's lives/jobs. Calling for someone to die or be fired for something you don't like personally is unacceptable. It's rude, inhumane, and absolutely and utterly vile. That being said, it's okay to be frustrated with changes so long as you express yourself decently and with respect. These guys do this day in and day out and they know what they're doing.

Don't make threads with blatantly wrong math. If Riot has stated multiple times that OE disenchant is now 20% of store price, then your thread either needs to be about re-adjusting the disenchant value of shards, or about a bug in a shard not giving 20%. Saying it takes "8 shards" to get a skin now isn't going to get a Rioter response - all you saying that shows is that you don't know what you're talking about. If you get 100 upvotes, it still won't get a response - it doesn't matter how many people upvote something that's obviously and blatantly incorrect - that doesn't make it something Riot needs to, or even should respond to.

If your thread is just going to be complaining about "feel", then you need to be prepared to tell Riot how to make it "feel" better - and that isn't "revert everything" or "give us more". If your thread is going to complain about the "feel" of the new system, then you need to propose a concrete change that does not greatly increase/reduce the BE earn rate for the vast majority of players. You can't just say "revert everything" or "wahhhh it feels bad". That doesn't merit Rioter attention.

i agree 100%... It dont take 8 975 skins but it does take 3 to 4.. Igot God First Lee Sin.... Seen the price and i already feel down about it. I dont have many skins and i get coolers ones all the time. Its a really bad move i have no exictment now when i open boxes... Yes they are free but yeah... No TY
