Alright the new client actually broke itself this time

Don Spaghetti·8/12/2017, 4:34:36 PM·20 votes·1,495 views

I'm getting an endless loop of popups. Too lazy for screenshots so:

"There was a problem patching League of Legends. We'll restore a backup version and try updating after you restart the patcher" So it makes me restart. Then: "We have restored this installation to an older version of League of Legends. Now we'll try to patch it up to the latest version" "Okay" Then back to the first popup

rinse and repeat. Doesnt let me click anything else on the client. Anything I can do in the files to fix this?

EDIT so people don't have to dig through the whole thread: According to the good people here it's a server side issue, just sit n wait until Riot fixes their shit

Okay so I just left it on the okay popup for a while then clicked it and let the client restart. Now My client seems to be working fine. "seems to be working fine" dont know if it will stick yet. (Update: It didn't stick. Its back to the cycle of restart.)

I got this pop-up during a countdown to start a ranked game. Didn't click on anything hoping the game would just launch... Nothing happened and now I'm getting an endless loop when I try to start the client.

It's some server issue. Just weather the storm.

Hi everyone, this was recently happening to me and after a bit of frustration I found a board that directed me to the answer. After hopelessly searching for an hour to revisit the board, I can't find it. Deleted perhaps? either way the instructions were simple. riot games folder->league of legends->config->leagueclientsettings.yaml (open w/ notepad)->Delete line:gameflow-patcher-lock:null->save. restart client

Hey all!

The issue should now be resolved, but if you're still encountering issues, drop a comment in the thread below:

download hextech repair tool. (close league in task manager beforehand) force repatch wait until you get some notification on your computer that stops the hextech repair tool. (the notification is something about a cromdiminium or something) then open league and you should be good
