Skin Release and Champion Buffs

We see it all the time: threads complaining that Champions get buffed when they get skins in order to boost the sales. This is despite, of course, the numerous examples of where the opposite occurs and a Champion gets nerfed in the same patch that they get a new skin. And naturally the most common occurrence is a Champion gets a skin and no other adjustment is made to them at all.

It's coincidence. Not some elaborate conspiracy.

But let's set that aside and ask the real question to those who make these kind of claims: does it not occur to you that the reason a Champion gets adjusted at the same time they get a skin is because they know people will be logging onto the PBE and playing those Champions to try out the new skin? The release of a skin is golden opportunity to buff (or nerf) that Champion and collect data on how that Champion performs and what effect those changes have.

That's all there is to it. A new skin means people trying it out on the PBE which means it's a good time to test changes to the Champion.

So can we quit it with the posts complaining about them employing some cheap tactic to get people to buy skins by purposefully buffing those Champions? Champions get skins; sometimes they get buffed at the same time, sometimes they get nerfed at the same time, and most often they stay as they were. Any changes that do get made to them during the skin announcement are to see how it goes on the PBE, and if it makes it to live when the skin is officially released, then it means those changes had the effect they were looking for.

They have gone on record saying they do buff for skins. It doesn't always happen. But more often than not.

Afaik All we want is to see a sharp increase in skins for champions without many.

That is not to much too ask
