[Spoilers] Finally got and unlocked all of my celestial weapons in Final Fantasy X

I haven't played that game in many years until the remastered version came out for the switch, and this time I wanted to put more effort into the game. When I was young and foolish, I didn't want to put in the effort to get all the weapons or go much further beyond beating Sin. The only thing I vaguely remember was that Yuna was a better black mage than Lulu, although with Lulu's celestial weapon, she ties with Yuna in damage dealing in the meantime because her weapon is better than Yuna's as it deals extra damage. My favorite weapon is the Caladbolg because it compliments Tidus so perfectly. Tidus essentially counters any attack, both magic and physical, while of course still breaking the damage limit and having triple overdrive generation, which makes his overdrive available often and his attacks dished out constantly. I'm not sure what I did last time I played FFX because I thought Tidus was underwhelming, but maybe because I gave him strength spheres and set him on Wakka's path with a teleport sphere, Tidus has become one of my favorite characters to play as because he's fast and has just about as much attack as Auron. My least favorite weapon is the God Hand. Gillionaire is a useful ability to farm with, but it's not worth it on a celestial weapon that's supposed to be the ultimate weapon, and you can always craft the ability too so it's not that unique. The hardest weapon to unlock was Tidus' weapon as I hate the chocobo racing minigame with a passion. It has a lot of RNG of the balloon placements, terrible controls, and terrible hitboxes/wave spawns of birds that can hit you multiple times in a row without letting you move, making your current race impossible to finish under 0 seconds. I thought Lulu's weapon would be harder, but there is a neat place in the thunder plains with the crater that makes it easier to predict when the lightning will hit you and with no encounter, it just requires a good 30ish minutes of concentration. The most time consuming weapon was definitely Wakka's. I had to play so much Blitzball to get not only the weapon, but also his overdrives. I guess it works itself out because Wakka's overdrives are pretty useful post game, and I kinda got the hang of blitzball and started enjoying it later. I remember as a kid I didn't pay attention to it or understand it well, but it's pretty easy now. After maybe 5 or so hours of playing Blitzball, it's hard to remember a life outside of the game. This is Wakka's story now, even though he has retired and I didn't bother hiring him out of retirement. Easiest weapon to obtain was Rikku's God Hand, because all I had to do was run around the desert catching cataurs, and that didn't require skill or anything. Yuna's was also easy, but you had to have some grinding done in order to beat all of Belgemine's Aeons. I wish Yuna's weapon would swap with Lulu's because double AP isn't as useful as 1.5 times the magic damage, but I guess in the long run it won't matter when both of them have a high enough magic stat to deal 99,999 damage or the developers knew Yuna would have a higher magic stat and gave this to Lulu to make sure she stays kinda relevant, even though Lulu has a terrible overdrive.

I guess now I can beat the game and start working on post game content. Speaking of that, I never heard of Dark Aeons before as they were not available for the US Version, so it made traveling around Spira much harder and frustrating as a lot of them pop out of nowhere and then instantly kill your team because they are very post game content.

I liked FF10 but I never finished it, I was near the end of the game and meant to finish it but I had a bunch of stuff going on in my life and set it aside. Than my old fat PS3, that played PS 1,2,3 games bit the dust which sucked, because good luck finding a backwards compatible PS3 nowadays that I could transfer the hard drive to.

I own a lot of consoles, but the PS3 was the only console I ever had die on me.

It's hard for me to want to pick it up again at this point. I'm sure I beat Seymour the final time, and the only story point I have left is the ending which I could just YouTube it, but I kinda had a friend spoil it in high school.

Ha, Blitzball was fun at least to get his one, get the right team or get Tidus to certain abilities and it's pretty easy. The Dark Aeons were a bitch, when first playing it yay back when, just going to Besaid village and not being able to enter because of one was just annoying, the difficulty of them and the time consuming efforts to level up to beat them to me just wasn't worth it.

You go to a spcial hidden island, with Tonberries and other new monsters, fight Ultima Weapon and it's all fun and within your power or a challenge at least. You go to Besaid Village just to explore and bam, oneshot, not fun. I never bothered with the Dark Aeons.
