Stop dying.

It's heavily dependent on your role and when you are dying. Are you dying in laning phase, mid game, or late game team fights?

Maybe try another role. I feed in top lane but can do okay in other roles. I just suck at top laning.

I go through bad streaks too, I just play through them and never let myself tilt.

Learn the matchups, play the champs you lane against commonly. Learn what their skills and combo's are and what the ranges and cooldowns are. That way you know when someone is going to all in you, or when they blow a cd that it is safe to trade or commit, and learn to bait skills, and when to turn a fight.

Also learn to just farm and avoid fighting, practice doing just that even if you think you can win. One of the most common mistakes I see people make (looking at you junglers and assassins) is they just want to fight CONSTANTLY and even mid to late game the INSTANT they see someone they commit and all in. And if your behind learn how to build to adjust (or if your ahead) or adjust your playstyle. Also learning to control the creep wave is important as well.

The best way to describe the game is that it's a giant complex game of chess, it is ALL about positioning and timing. Learning champs helps identify player behavior, are they just playing aggro or are they trying to get you to commit to a fight because their jungler is waiting to gank? Is the team holding back because they can win a poke trade or are they waiting for someone to step out of position, or are they waiting for their team focus target to be available?

Counterpicks can also be a problem, but unless your toplane (maybe mid) I would worry more about improving mechanics and math. Most of the time I just play through a counterpick so I have a better understanding of why that champ counters me and what makes them so strong and what skills to avoid etc.
