Skin pricing in loot

i have been having this question on my mind for a while now . i understood that the pricing of the champions and level 6/7 unlock increased as the blue essence is combined with the IP , but what i don't understand is why the pricing of the skins differed . Like , i have been earning even less chests ( because i got chests with almost every champion i own ) with a lot of keys , i bought the snowdown capsule which gave me 4 skins which idk what to do with because it would be a waste to disenchant them because i would get very little orange essence ( +364 orange essence for an 1820 rp skin ) . Are we supposed to be getting more chests or skins or something ? is there a reason why riot decreased the pricing of the skins/ward skins ? i would really like to know why because i feel like unless i want to keep buying chests and spend tonnes of money on them to keep disenchanting skins to get the skin the i want , being able to get skins in the loot is useless . That is my opinion , and if anyone knows the answers to my questions or can send me a link if riot answered these questions before , i would really appreciate it .
