Why Do You Love Your Main?

Your main champions is, in my opinion, something that says a lot about you as both a player, and a regular person. You may like them for their story or for their gameplay, with a multitude of other reasons, and I'd love to hear why.

For me, my main and favorite champion of all time is Janna

Aside from being aesthetically pleasing to look at, I love blonde hair and blue eyes, plus as a Tolkein fan, her having pointed ear was a huge plus, but mostly for her character. I love the idea of a wind spirit, free and endless, and the fact that she is this beacon of hope, whose sole purpose in life is to help others, really let me sympathize with her and really grabbed on to my more altruistic side. She helps people in all kinds of way, and I know this might be taking it little to far, but I see Janna as role model, for lack of a better word. She's everything I strive to be as a person, selfless, compassionate, with just a little bit of wisdom. Also, I love shielding people, which is a BIG part of her gameplay.

His voice actor is Quinton Flynn. That's why I started playing League in general, really. Brother told me Jhin is played by my favorite voice actor, so I started playing.

I used to Main old irelia (I had almost 1 million Mastery points on her until they rework there and I literally couldn't play her anymore)

I absolutely adored her play style and kit it was literally everything that I wanted in a champion literally couldn't ask for anything better if you sat me down and asked me to write down what I wanted in a champion I would tell you Strength Dive ability Survivability At least one stun or slow (old irelia had both <3) Mainly rely on auto attacks Has a gap closer I literally never got tired of playing old irelia literally never I played her everyday for years she was the reason I woke up and hopped on my computer I was in love with that freaking champion I had posters of her on my, she was my screensaver and I had a t-shirt of her and a mug and on my keys I had a little keychain of her weapon. My first born child was supposed to be named irelia (until the miscarriage) I loved how she had lovely black hair and she looked Oriental but you'd never know, she represented true strength and true will through her lore and her actions. The one thing I always loved about her was that when she died she didn't have like the sexual moan that most female Champions had but she had an actual death scream and you can hear the pain hurt and defeat in it she was the realest Champion ever.

Until her rework came and I burned everything I had of her the posters the shirt and I broke the mug and threw away the key chain. they made her difficult to play and changed everything that I loved about her she was dead to me at that point it felt like my soul has been ripped out like someone had just murdered my love. It was blah blah blah Ionia blah blah blah and that was too irritating she talked about Iona you literally Non-Stop... Like she literally just wasn't irelia she just had the same name

I'm actually getting a tattoo with the old Irelias face on it along with her weapon and it's going to say "true will cannot be defeated"

Eve/Urgot/Renekton: I really love the more monsterous designs/themes, and the gameplay is great since I love completely crushing my opponents and then brutalizing their team.

Riven Redeemed is the reason I bought here because it's the best looking splash art in the entire game, at leasr when I first started.

Then I played her and got repeatedly dumpstered until I started looking up guides and getting lost in the mechanics. Watched the Best Riven NA Tournament, binged BoxBox. She's one of the only champions I ever played that you can feel yourself getting better as you perfect a skill or tweak your timing.

Sion Big, scary, and hammy.

Mechanically speaking, I love playing tanks and it's thrilling when I can actually hit someone with my ult.

Plus his lore's existentially horrifying and I love a good horror story.

i picked up, and loved Taric after his rework not for his voice, or his lines. his theme is nice, but i mostly went for his kit. he has ally dualcast so you can bankshot e's off linked allies into an enemy team that thought they made a pick.

  1. Hot. I have a thing for armor.

  2. Extremely versatile.

  3. Nobody knows how to counter her.

Out of all the champs I play, she's the only one who's kit I really understand. While I'm not one to play the same champ over and over, and would indeed get bored of doing so, whenever I have to try really hard, I play her. She's a very fun champ to play, and I'd argue also fair to play against, in a group of champions that are often considered anti-fun. She's also very easy to play as well, I don't know why some people think she's hard.

Also, her status in the insane buff/nerf cycle that this game can be sometimes is pretty solidified thanks to everyone usually complaining about Janna/Lulu instead.

I really really really wish I could actually play TahmKench well though. I absolutely adore his character, how he looks, his backstory, everything like that. I'm just so poor at making decisions with him that my name really does fit.

Garen as i move away from playing support i've started to love playing garen, he lets me focus more on what im doing in the game and less about what im doing with my champion.

Q>W>Q combo and its variants are so satisfying. i also like his personality. his looks on dark star are also beautiful, as event horizon is hands down my favorite league AU thematically

I don't love my main. It serves as a constant reminder of my failure to perform well on a consistent basis and is often brought up in discussion by other players who use it against me whenever they wish to devalue me or my opinion.

I fucking hate my main and I wish I had never installed this game.

Aside from the obvious reason, I like her kit being relatively straightforward. I also appreciate how it can catch unwary enemies while also having great power in team fights.

The only major drawback I get is the fact I prefer to play her critical, and the meta says "gotta play her lethality!" Which means even if I'm carrying 24-0-13, I will be blamed for a loss.

Used to love my main cause she was fun and that whole how fast your combo is only depends on your reaction time was also pretty cool then they reworked her so now i just hope they pull a lb and revert or at least partial revert

Lulu

She's a swiss army knife of a champion, with a tool to deal with just about every situation. Her kit has a tremendous amount of depth with the way her skills play off one another, and it took quite a while for me to grok all the implications. I used to really enjoy Sona but, compared to all the stuff Lulu is capable of, three flavors of auras just seems kind of bland in comparison.

Granted the shield nerf hit her pretty hard without any buffs to offset it, so I've been taking time off from the game while I wait for her to be rebalanced a bit more fairly.

Also I tend to gravitate to characters with overactive imaginations, since I can relate. Which explains why my secondary is Zoe .
