I can't believe that people are creating such a stink about the rewards that Riot is giving out for the old honors system. I bet that at least 95% of the player base didn't care about honors beyond a little " hey someone honored me, cool" after the game, and now ur all complaining about it? And how is getting this icon any different than getting the ribbon in the old system, cuz I don't really see one :P I think you all just need to chill a bit. [slayer-jinx-catface]
I think it's more so the fact that Riot didn't even try to discern players who had been playing with the old honor system for years compared to the people who joined a month before the new honor system rolled out and yet most people get the same reward.
However though, I do agree I think the quick jump to believing the old honor rewards were more limited then they really are wasn't needed. Through today so far, I already got the Teamplayer and Helpful honor icons today and never once did I receive a ribbon for any honor category. Either Riot increased the 10% cap or it includes a larger, most consistent section of the playerbase people weren't aware of.
But at the end of the day, the reward is only some icons even for the most honorable players; there really isn't anything to be too bothered by in my opinion.
