Problems with the new Season 9 Ranked System and How to Improve.

###So with Season 9, Riot took an attack on the way the rank system works and revamped it to help make games feel more evenly balanced and LP gains feel more rewarding, however the system that we got does everything but, and makes the experience feel more of a grind, especially for fill mains and secondaries. Take this into consideration: you play Top lane and Mid lane, but you are a low silver top and a low platinum mid, now you feel like playing top lane a lot more and still want to grind to get to diamond, well now you need to grind from silver to diamond instead of platinum to diamond because each role's LP are separate to one another, this isn't fun....just tedious. +18 LP for your main role and +2/3 for your others doesn't feel too good and it incentives that you stick with your main role more and not explore other roles, unless you want to start climbing up from a much lower rank, and the -15 LP(main) and -1/2(others) feels even worse. https://i.imgur.com/31dIXiZ.png[/img] The way they made the system sound was it would calculate an average MMR which suited you, in turn making your games more balanced and fun to play, while in reality it should've kept each role's MMR separate while keeping all your LP together. #Solution:
- Only one rank for solo/duo, flex, and 3v3, like the other seasons, no 5 seperate ranks based on role. This break into 5 separate ranks causes more grind at a very slow growth if you want to play multiple roles.
- Take the splash system and instead of attaching it to LP gains/loses, let it splash MMR rating into other roles instead. This will allow for each role to have its own identity and skill level to match you to.
- For example say you are Ranked Gold and have Gold Mid lane MMR, but Silver Jungle MMR; you play Mid the next game and win, your Gold Mid MMR is boosted by an amount and a little bit of MMR is now splashed to your other roles, increasing your overall player skill, while still retaining your individual specialty as a mid laner, as well as gaining LP for your overall GOLD rank instead of separate LP.
- Also your Role MMR would only be viewable and available to you as a general gold, silver, diamond image like below as well as be found on your ranked page. https://i.imgur.com/T78ctdZ.png[/img]
