Left Over RP Gifting

So why I bring this up is that my boyfriend PopTart Kittenz, he need 7 more RP to get his Gothic Orianna skin. Well I had 177 RP left over on my account that I had not planed use in any manor, why not just give it to him.

My thought was for others to be able to give away up to 200 RP away at a time 3 times every month with 1 week in between to space it out a bit. They can gift individual amounts like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 73, 58, 97, 64, etc. and this would help friends who have extra RP left over to those of us that need that 1-20 RP more to get that wonderful skin. ( Or hey to those that need 200 more! )

While it would be nice if that were possible, it would be easy to exploit it. All someone would have to do is make another account and give that account's starting rp (i think it's like, 400 or something) to their main. In a sense, it would allow people to have an infinite amount of rp

People can already just gift themselves any skin under 750 that's on sale, or an icon, etc

This would be simple, especially if it was limited to like 50 at a time.

The difference is you can't actually gift for awhile as a new account, and even so the starting rp is too low to buy anything more than an icon. The incentive isn't there, no one wants to create an account and level it up for a free icon. You would still have to pay to add even more rp to that fake account to be able to have enough rp to gift a skin, it's simply too much work. By giving new accounts the ability to give away their starting rp gives more incentive for people to abuse the free starting rp, there's too much of a risk factor.

Starting RP is 400.

Gift 50 at a time, with a week in between.

Who's going to level up 20 accounts to level 15 and spend nearly a year transferring RP to get a 3250 skin?

Lets say you only need 1000 rp for a skin? That's a pretty large chunk of rp right there. Make 5 accounts (if you're decent at league you can level those up pretty fast), 50 rp each every week. 1000/50 = 20. 20/5 = 4. That's a free skin in about 4-5 weeks. All it takes is 1 bot program and you can get those account to level 15 in a week easily. It's too exploitable. Without the gifting rp option, there is no incentive to do such a thing. You can't do anything with 400rp until you're able to gift it.

If someone is receiving RP from 5 different accounts at the same time, and they're all level 15, it's likely that Riot has SOME sort of way to detect/search for that and ban the person doing it.

It's exploitable, but can also make it possible to catch the people actually USING the bot programs.

Or we could set RP gifting to level 30 only or something.

It's possible, but you're asking riot to implement a system that could cause them to lose money and have to use resources to find exploiters. It'd be nice for it to happen, but it wouldn't be in Riot's best interest :/

You never know they may want it to be easier on others so some extent. I mean it has its ups and downs, I just hope if anything if they did do something with this it would be a very well appointed update. (As they are usually good about, some mistakes have to be accounted for since we are all human.)

I think this is a great Idea. I thought I read earlier that the 400rp at lvl 10 (or what ever) is gone and replaced by a chest so you couldn't level accounts to gift yourself. I have had 72 RP on my account forever. When I buy more I always have left over and It's around the same amount each time. It would be great if you could send or receive on small amounts for a carry or being carried. Like thanks homie here's 5 RP.
