Third Person Game Mode- Summoners Rift

In this video the user plays a custom game with some friends as Lee Sin, Sion, and Jarven; Only that its not the regular default mode of sight. Understanding that this tech/mod is already out there I thought it would be convenient for Riot to perhaps make this into a brand new game mode for everyone to try out. Even perhaps make it a workable option in the menu for the settings of the game. It could give way for a brand new look on champions and possibly new ones that would excel on this kind of setting. Understandably so tho there may be some champions that may not work on this mode as well as others but it could still be a fun experience that I KNOW the community would enjoy.

It could have a different lay out for the powers to make it slightly easier to target with, but even then putting it out there as an official game mode in beta version, or a temporary one may be worth Riots time. As like URF it may not be as fun, but it could always generate some money for their special limited time only skins made for it. To even making a special map just for this mode alone; I understand this could take lots of time but long as its considered for a second or even just noticed that someone out there wants this to happen would be good enough for me.

Honestly i can see this being more fun than U.R.F. I say this because people only wanted urf to be OP and with this mode you get a hole new perspective of the game even tho literally nothing is changed in the game.

It'd definently be more fun then urf! This could even raise map awareness as it'd be harder to tell whats around you. Possibly even raise team work. I doubt that lone ADC in middle lane about to be ganked would even be in mid lane at that time if it was in this perspective!

Riot won't do it, because it would require modifying a map, adding elements that that can only be screen while in this mode. Besides the sky, there were place on the ground where you could see through the bottom of the map.

That said, the video really changed my mind about wanting it to be a game mode...

Not necessarily, they wouldn't be required to change the blackness in the distance on the map(s). Even if they did its not hard to add in a 2D drawn up background; that of course could even be fan/player made. Either way these spots never really changed the capabilities of playing the game. Its just aesthetics that your regarding to; in which case are not always needed in order to have a great time in a game mode like this. I can't change your mind (or at least I believe I can't) but please keep in mind that every game mode takes a bit of time to create. With converting/gathering inspiration off this current mod it'll save them a lot of time with the coding and adaptation to the game (as it is current in the mods) So the 'little' bugs that show may not be as pretty when it comes down to it... Your not going to be staring at the blackness when a fed Ashe/Jinx is coming for you. Or if your getting Ganked, or even if your trying to get the CS, there's a lot of things to do in the game and I believe if this came out, people would be more focused on trying to win/survive out there then those bugs. ALTHOUGH I could be wrong. Thank you for your concern :3

PS On a side note, What if they just said it was night time in Summoners Rift. With all the fog of war out there making it dark. And the Very Dark Sky, they could play it off like that. Heck they could even throw some white/blue stars up there for aesthetic reasons. :D

I'm fairly certain that riot does not like these mods because they give an unfair advantage to people using them. This mod in particular wouldn't give an unfair advantage to the user, if not give a disadvantage. Perhaps they would be OK with it if everybody was forced to use it for the mode.

The idea of this gamemode would be that everyone would be in that kind of sight, so there would be no disadvantage or advantage what-so-ever.

Although there is a game out there like this mod, its still not LoL. Not to mention some of the LoL players may not want to just go onto smite to play this perspective. The point of bringing this mod to Live is to bring a new feel to the game, to promote good aspect to the game as well. IE Teamwork, Harder Gameplay, Map Awareness, and something fun. Keep in mind the other game modes are mainly to have fun and promote better play and to give off a possible great quantity of money to Riot. I understand Smite may have this perspective, although it does not have all the champs league may have nor will it host the same community of players, or show people in this game those potent aspects. The purpose for showing this game mode to the league gamers is to have fun. Not to just be shut down because there's a similar idea out there that others can just download. Thank you for your concern, and please if you have more let me know. Your statements will help me make this more refined and get closer to Riot letting it in to at least their list of ideas for game modes in the 'Near Future'.

I found that very interesting, thank you for showing me this. Although I would still want this to be tested but now I fully understand that smite may have this game mode Trademarked and which would mean it cannot be used by another Moba. Unfortunately if this a bummer since I really wanted this and if Riot did test it out to let other LoL players see their own favorite champs and skins in the perspective it would make SMITE unneeded.

'-' So here is my part though. If it happens to not be trademarked it could still be worth while. As there is some pros and some cons, I just don't clearly understand that if this mode isn't banned from being in any game EXCEPT Smite, why not give it a shot? Games are games, and the purpose of coming up with ideas for Riot on this forum is to help inspire and pro-create fun aspects of the game. Its to make the game break boundaries that none would have thought of before, not keep it in the same old rut just because a game mode relates well enough to a perspective to another game out there.

I realize they are both Moba's, but the perspective has been around for longer then both games together. All I'm considering is that why not give it a run and fly with LoL? Heck even change it up, and refurnish it to make it look different from that. Like instead of Third-Person it could just be shot into first-person with the adjustable 'zoom into champ' scroll when making the Third-Person game mode?
