Petition To Keep Champion After ARAM Dodge

Lumiose9··13 votes·1,493 views

Dodgers are so common in aram. some people refuse to play the champion they got and decide to dodge.

I don´t get Excited about getting my main or my fav champions anymore because i know theres a high chance of someone leaving. There is nothing more frustrating that getting Karma only to be stuck with Nunu 30 seconds later.

Positives of Keeping the champion after the dodge:

-There is no reason to dodge anymore (other than toxic players) since you know it will change nothing -People who got a champion they were happy about are not forced to reroll if they got something drastically worse than the one they had before

Negatives Of Keeping The Champion:

-Re-rolls would become an issue and some players could get frustrated if they get stuck with their most hated champ.

Any Opinions?

Is this necesary?

I agree with this mostly on the premise that when I get someone I can't play for crap right after I got a really good champ for the mode, it's frustrating.

Yes, for all the people who didn't dodge.

People who dodge should have to play that champion for the next 5 ARAMs so they can git gud and not have to dodge whenever they get that champion anymore.

Though I suppose then you'd have people intentionally dodging because they got Lux.

It's annoying when I get a fun champ and someone dodges, but I like when I get a lame champ then someone dodges. So I have mixed feelings.

The point is more that it will prevent dodges as many people with specific ARAM accounts dodge when they don't get one of the ARAM OP champs that they built the account for. If they are stuck with that champ in their next queue there won't be any incentive to dodge. Its along the lines of the suggestion that ARAM should give a random champ out of ALL the champs, not just the ones you have unlocked.

Add it to the long list of things Riot will literally never do. I've been playing ARAM since I started League (about three and a half years ago) and to date I haven't seen them implement a SINGLE ONE of the changes necessary for balancing the gamemode. The only real changes we've gotten are the movement speed when near super minions (which is actually terrible since it makes snowballing easier) and some minor item changes (introduction of Guardian Orb, removal of Dorans items).

They aren't going to unlock the full roster and make it truly random.

They aren't going to deal with ARAM accounts (which, by the way, means that they officially sanction cheating as long as it doesn't affect their more popular gamemodes). They aren't going to remove Dark Harvest, which has made champions like Twitch MissFortune Gangplank capable of dealing 85-90% of a person's hp in a single auto/ability.

They aren't going to add an actual punishment for dodging (let's be real, 15 minutes is a fucking joke) or make it less annoying for those who actually want to play the mode the way it's meant to be played.

To be perfectly frank, Riot doesn't give a fuck about ARAM. Please don't waste your time and effort asking for things that will never happen. Sorry for the wall of text. I just really like ARAM and wish it wasn't so horrible to play.

yeah! Im fine with aram as it is but it could improve so much.

btw what do you mean by full champion roster? (i know you are more likely to get champs in the free rotation)

When I say "full champion roster", I mean that the champion you get in a match should be selected from a pool consisting of every single champion in the game. Right now, the system is set up to choose a champion from only the ones you own + the free rotation. This leads to the creation of "ARAM accounts", which will unlock only the most powerful champions (on ARAM anyway) so that they have a much higher chance of getting something strong.

Imagine getting into a game where everyone else has unlocked every single champion (that's 134 as of right now), while you've unlocked only a handful of things you picked specifically because they're strong (i.e. Ezreal Fiddlesticks Gangplank Lux Sona etc). You now have an advantage in that you can only ever get a strong champion (or something from the free rotation). It's not a perfect way to cheat the system, but it drastically reduces the risk associated with a supposedly "random" system.

there is a really really high chance either you or some one else on your team gets it either initally or 1-2 rolls on your team as far as i have seen aram is anything but random
