It's nice to hear someone else say this. I've been playing since early on in season 3, and I can probably count on both hands the number of times I've ever encountered an extremely toxic individual in game over all those years. Most of my matches have great people in them. I used to play mainly normals; now it's mostly ranked, with some intermediate bots tossed in for when I want to test a new rune page or try out a new champ. And I honestly meet so many people that are just awesome.
I just finished a bot match with a J4 and a Ryze on my team, and as the match began, we were trying to figure out why the enemy Swain bot was taunting J4. Our final solution was because J4 had somehow had a fling with Swain's mother. Everybody laughed, and we continued on with the match. We're winning our own lanes, me dying a bit more than I would like as I was playing tank Leona into Swain, Zyra, Mundo, Yi, and Kayle. But for each death or misplay, there would be a joke, or some sort of silly comment. At one point, Ryze and I turret dove the Zyra, and he killed her, and we both walked out of the turret range. And then he immediately channeled his ult for us. To move us about two inches to the side. He said he was going to port me to safety. What could I do but LOL and "my hero <3"
Obviously in bots, it's not nearly as serious as in normals, or in ranked. But even in ranked, the purpose of the game is to have fun. Yes, we want to get better at it, but we play it because we find it fun in the first place. And even in ranked matches, as long as people know you are trying your best, they are more likely to forgive small mistakes, if you you continue to demonstrate that you are trying.
I really hope that you hook up with a good crew of people to play with. It can definitely make the game more fun if you have someone to laugh and/or cry about what is going on together with. Best of luck in the future, and i hope you continue to find just chill, pleasant people.
