IBG: Ezreal vs Tanks

Hey guys, Recently I've been thinking about Ezreal and the usage of So I've prepared statistics (off of lolking.net) to show why he blatantly abuses the item: Site: http://www.lolking.net/items/3025#topchampions Statistics: : 32.8% pickrate : 12.1% pickrate : 9.2% pickrate : 7.5% pickrate And the list goes on... Now the big numbers I want to zero in on are the top 2: and . The gap between these two is huge, over 30%. Now was meant to be used as a tank item. Yet it saw immediate popularity on . There is an issue here. Either a) is just outclassed by other tank items, which would be true if didn't have a 32.8% pickrate with it, or b) is just so amazing strong on ranged champions. Not tanks, but ranged champions. Obviously an issue if it is.

TL;DR: Ezreal runs IBG more than twice as much the second user does. He uses a tank item better than the actual tank.

The issue with the item is actually more found in Ezreal 's kit. It's giving an aoe slow to one of the most spammable skillshots in LoL (while lowering its cooldown). Mystic shot singlehandedly makes it harder to balance multiple on-hit items items (anything building out of sheen... R.I.P runeglaive, botrk, keep the list going). Multiple changes have been made to item 3025 , some of which have helped Ezreal 's ability to use such items, while others have hurt it. I personally feel like the frozen fist needs some kind of rework, or mystic shot, or both.

Yes, since it got nerfed, it's far better on Ezreal than tanks. Ezreal has also (in the past) been able to use a jungle item better than junglers, and even taken smite to do it, it's nothing new though.

malphite tho .. with that and another item he has 300armor (only 2 armor items) and takes 76% reduced damage due to his increased Armor passiv.

I tend to use it with Rapid Firecannon as they can deal massiv basic attack damage (at full charge 160+100%attack damage for the next basic attack) also you get an increased range which can be quite usefull.

Once i had this really fun build with Ashe: -Iceborn Gauntlet -Frozen Mallet -Crystal Scepter

Pretty much none can escape if you keep hitting them, since its either way a Basic Attack Slow or Skill Slow and combined with Ashe's Ultimate Stun a fun way to play Troll Support btw the slow works with Redemption too
