Maybe slightly off topic and not in direct correlation to OP question: life steal is quite largely stackable and there is a reason why this is allowed. Its much better to acquire LS via offensive stats like AD, AS and crit, instead of spending excessive amount of gold on LS alone and at the end your first priority, especially for the offensive champs which can make greater use of LS is kill the enemy instead of preserve themselves.
