Top Assasin jungle?

I love assassins, bit newer to jungle. Who are the best assassin s in the jungle. Not just for a newer player, but overall. Put in the time and effort to learn who pays off the most.

I find Diana to be the most effective jungle assassin. She does sustained burst and annihilates squishes all throughout the game.

However, time wise, I believe Kha zix would be the most rewarding in terms of performance. He's much harder to play, but mastering his positioning, ult, and resets as well as mid air mechanics can be extremely rewarding. He's a little gated by single target and team fighting unlike Diana who is tankier and deals a lot of aoe as well as having a better overall cc.

Up to you really. Diana is more noob friendly and directly effective, but a -good- Kha zix player sucks to play against.

Well, Diana has amazing natural clears and sustain in the jungle. Her passive, Q, W, and ult with blue buff allows her to tear through camps. Even pre 6, she tears through them. This is due to proper positioning for her passive arc to hit all monsters, and a low cd aoe nuke.

Her shield is incredible in the jungle. On top of having aoe damage, the double shield allows you to tank so much jungle damage and allows you to clear efficiently without having to back much as many junglers must.

Her passive gives passive attack speed. This has synergy with her passive damage and just auto damage.

Her E is a great cc, being a vacuum and a slow. Especially in ganks and utilizing your passive to its greatest potential, your E makes you incredibly dangerous in ganks and team fights. It's also being buffed so she will be even better, possibly pick ban.

A problem with her is that she really needs to hit 6 before she is at full, effective potential. A gank is possible pre 6, but it requires an opponent to overextend and will usually result in summoners burned.

However, due to her clear speed, I find I can hit 6 before even solo lanes do sometimes. Yeah, it's that ridiculous. A result of an aoe based stream of damage with a great deal of damage soak + some potions.

Once you hit 6, this is where you become a terror and have one of the cheesiest bursts in the game, made cheesier by a buff early this season. Here is why I rank her as noob friendly and not something complex as Kha zix.

It's simple. You have high base values and good AP scalings. Means early on, everyone is a target. Especially squishies. Walk into lane for a gank, land a Q, and that target is most likely dead. I'm not exaggerating or joking. She's great vs squishies as she has a great burst of Q-R-W-E-Passive proc(will have enough autos in that time to proc). If you want greater immediate burst, recast R. Really the only thing surviving this is a full healthed squishy maybe or summoners such as exhaust, heal, etc.

Vs tankier champs, she also is great. The best part about Diana is that her kit's "burst" never ends. Her Q's low cd allows for a constant onslaught if you play it correctly. As you can guess, her passive allows a constant stream of third hit damage. Plus, Q has a low cd. So as long as you only ult once every time, you can see where the damage comes from. It's basically a constant Q-R-Passive, Q-R-Passive (not necessarily in that order, passive could proc a couple times in between Q-R.) And then for the kill, recast R for the extra bit of burst. I've yet to meet a build or champ, shy a full MR tank, that lasts too long vs Diana's full assault.

Now, since no one is too tanky early game and early-mid game, your burst works on about everyone. Especially top lane where the rush items are typically damage or armor. A malphite with sunfire or frozen heart is basically a slightly beefier adc for you. And we all know the constant burst you can put out as highlighted above.

Now, her damage is obvious as I talked about. So is her clear. But there's more about her. The cheese. This is important and why I rate her as the best assassin.

Now, think of fizz. People hate him. He is often regarded as op or cheesy. But really think about his burst. How long does it typically take? Cast R, wait for it to go off, Q on to you, auto, E which takes time too. The whole process actually takes a good few seconds, doesn't it? Same as zed. Ult, Q-E, auto, etc. if ult kills you, 3 seconds. If not, 3-10.

Even Kha zix has a slowish leap, and you have to be isolated to really be cheesily one shot.

Diana? One second. 1-3 really at most. Her kit is designed to come together at once to deliver one LARGE explosion of damage. Due to a change early, Diana was changed in that if you Q towards a target, and then you ult at them, so long as your ult lands right before the Q does, it will not go on cd. Previously you had to make sure the Q hit first. Now they have some algorithm that detects if the champion will get hit with the Q, so the ult will reset as long as it's "timed correctly" to land right before the Q. I quote timed correctly because it's a lot simpler and less complex than it sounds. Just Q and ult. It will work almost every time so long as you hit your Q button first.

So here is what happens. You Q--ult- -W all at once essentially. So when you land, the enemy gets hit with 3 spells all at once, and with your E pull, your passive auto soon to follow since on point if ult contact, Diana will immediately auto. Then e and she autos again, and finally when they can move, they are slowed and your next auto is empowered, at 20% faster attack speed because of passive.

Most squishies are dead here. Especially with runic echoes supplying that extra damage burst AND should you choose a Lich bane, your initial burst is incredible. Basically, your burst is incredible due to runic echoes and the nature of your kit. If they heal or barrier, just ult again. That's another chunk of damage and by now, your Q is coming off cd and that has a bit of range.

With lichbane, you add tons more damage with that tank killing sustained damage I described way up there as every Q now has a lichbane proc.

So basically, early-late mid game you are a bursting machine. Squishies require peel from you, and tanks still take great damage. Abyssal and Sorc shoes are core in your build so while you get tankier, you're also sporting 30-40 mr pen. So for squishies, especially early (I tend to rush these two after runic), you're essentially dealing true damage due to the cunning tree mr pen and runes.

Now, how can such an overloaded champ exist?

She does have weaknesses. No escapes. She has no fight or flight like most assassins. You can only fight. If you get engaged on, you either activate W and hope you can walk away, but mostly you just turn and try to make it a one for one on a squishy. You can do fancy stuff like Q minions or monsters and ult away, but overall, you're a sitting duck.

Late game. I personally believe late game she loses power. Carries have extreme amounts of damage so they can delete you if someone CCs you/peels you when you engage before you can recover, unlike early game where you can survive through CC often and finish off a target.

Targets are tankier. Tanks no longer lose most of their health to your burst, typically not tanky enough to continue your onslaught combo for more than the initial rotation, squishies have embraced a defensive item or two so your burst isn't as great, and your whole combo is messed up by banshees. The only way to be relevant is to break that banshees via poke or you can't do Anything.

Engage. It's all you can do. No way to get out, no extreme tankiness to survive the engage. You are left as a champion who can only engage but not survive. Now you may have someone like amumu or malph who will engage for you and then you go in. Great, but you may not have those types of champs or they may be dead/cool downs/doing poorly.

Which leads me to my personal late game Diana. You need zhonyas. And here is why. Mid-Late and late game, Diana is a suicide-engage. Your AOE is massive and any time teams are dancing around each other looking for openings, I will look for any opportunity to hit multiple members. Any time there's 3-5 champs clumped with an important carry, I'll jump in. Often ignore my Q and just ult in. This is devastating if you can catch 3 people in your E, W, Q and zhonyas. Now you depend on your team to engage and save you. Typically they will, as everyone in your catch had their health bars ravaged. Your team has 2.5 seconds to engage on a caught out, disheveled team and it's often an auto team fight win.

That or you die.

I'll even suicide into a carry if it takes them out of a fight or to allow someone else to finish them off. This is common against like Kogmaw, Viktor, etc.

So overall, I think she's the best. She's never obsolete, her burst is cheesy, and she's easy to learn. She takes a bit of time to learn how to deal with mobility and escape situations and how to cleverly use your Q to reset ult to escape or get closer (Q a minion in between you and enemy, ult minion, ult enemy to cover great distances). Also mastering the arc on her Q is important. I recommend putting all of her spells on smart cast (Q,R basically) to fluidly use her burst. Clicking wastes time, and time saved is what she's all about.

Try her out, don't be discouraged when you do poorly at first. It's normal. But once you play a bit, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Edit: Forgot to mention skill order. I always start W, then Q. Now here's th rare situation. Typically you level Q again, then E, then Q, then ult. Then max R-Q-W-E. HOWEVER, if you see a level 3 gank, hold that point. Only put a point in E once you actually get to the champion to E. Don't point it on the way there, only once you get to them. Why? If warded, they'll flee and you'll have a useless E skilled and your clear has been hurt. Again, wait till you are in E range to skill it. Otherwise, typically, you're going W-Q-Q-E-Q-R and Max as stated above.

Another important thing. When building runic echoes, always purchase the AP components first. Only get the enhanced smite when the AP components and boots are purchased. This gives you your early damage that allows you to cheese all day long.

I then typically rush abyssal scepter (AP parts first unless a Leblanc or such exists) and then finish Sorc boots. This gives you a nice, healthy 160+ AP with a delicious 50 or so mr pen.

AP quints, AP scaling glyphs or flat glyphs, armor seals, magic pen reds. Can swap for attack speed or AD reds if your team lacks a tank and you want a more tanky, dps centric build (Nashors tooth, hard tank items like deadmans, banshees, abyssal, etc).

I won't give a hard build because I'm against those. Completely situational. Vs an AD comp, obviously no Abyssal. May need rylais, may need sunfire, may need rabadons, etc. all situational, I can't really teach you how to build situationally correctly. That's something learned.

So overall, I

Add me if you have questions about her that come up or just general inquiry. Won't play but I can answer chat questions. General jungle routes, build orders for certain types of matches, etc
