Can we have base armor and MR added to champions who didn't get it during the preseason 8 update?

It really, really blows getting chunked to 1/2 hp earlybecause they added runes that deal more damage while taking away resistances from runes. I'm not sure what riot was thinking when they added runes like electrocute and removed our options to take early armor to mitigate the early damage from champions. Adding the armor/mr we got from runes to our base stats(or even as bonus armor at the start of the game for lethality's sake), or gave us points to allow us to choose to opt into early resistances would be great.
