Has support position gotten more popular?

Recently, I started filling in all my games. I had a reason back then, but I don't remember why and now it's just a meme in my friend group. So anyway, I fill.

What I noticed is that I'm getting a lot of non-support positions: often jungle or bot. Support is still one of the more common outcome, but I'm surprised by how many times I'm not getting filled into support. Did support position get more popular?

It's called autofill, the support position is just the main role for the system to put some random person in.

I ask supports if they want to swap, and they usually tell me they actually queued as support. Of course this is only true of my experience and can't be used as statistics, but when I fill, I don't think anyone (else?) on my team gets autofilled.
