Overloaded items are whats really the problem
Nowadays items have like 4-5 stats and effects that it gives you. item's like
are important items that champions build because of how many stats and effects they give. This is where the real power creep is coming from and the reason why champions snowball so hard when they get ahead in gold. Back then you would have to build 2-3 different items for the effects that you get from these items. Which is ridiculous.
If you want to see build diversity to where people have to actually make a choice in their build then take away effects from these items and put them onto something else.
