Just dodged ranked and counted as a 2nd consecutive dodge?

Simply said, I get into a ranked game, jungler decides not to take smite while our support sona does, then sona picks ignite again and I'm about to be part of a game where our jungler says he's going to run it down mid while not having picked smite. The thing is, dodging is part of ranked. Sometimes, you just have to dodge. I don't get why I just got a 30 minute penalty and lost 10 lp though. I mean, the 4 previous games were: 2 ranked games, then a custom game vs bots (which was finished till the end) and then an 1v1 with someone (from which we both left game after one of us got to 3 kills). The only thing I can think of is that leaving game might count as a dodge, so therefore I now got the second consecutive dodge penalty instead. But that's not right, as in 1v1s people usually play to 1 or 3 kills and then leave. Would be nice if Riot did something about this.
