our jg never connected.. I tried to ff at minute 1 and minute 2 and minute 3 and minute 4 and minute 5.. it always said "too early to surrender."

If the prompt doesn't appear in the chat then that means they did indeed connect at some point before the allotted time.
Noticed some of these threads are becoming more common since the last patch with Ornn. Though I suspect enough reports have already brought this to their attention, so I doubt contextually screaming will help them along the way, nor will it deal with your frustration. If you truly want to see it fixed, simply form a ticket as well, or if you are as of the same belief as my own, then be patient.
I neither believe that it is or isn't having issues, since I've yet to experience it myself. But it is what it is.
