Separating The ESportLeague and the GAME of League, buff turrets to scale dmg to level of champions
With the way that the game has been evolving over the years it has become less and less of a fun game to play and recommend at higher levels. The reason I see this that way is due to the fact that currently towers have become useless. Champions that everyone plays are considered too powerful and have for months with no changes, and champions in which there shouldn't be heavy damage due to them having a kit that cannot be countered without having extensive knowledge and heavy skill. From the year I have been playing this game I have seen near no attempt to fix this, in fact ive seen them make things worse. Normally I wouldn't make a post about something like this except it is beginning to affect the amount of fun people have in game. This is one of the many champions who's kits are completely uncounterable. Morgana: She is the definition of a champ with no consequences for missing a skill shot. You can spam abilities like none other and regardless of whether or not you land her skill shot, you do insane damage with her area of affect. Also her q (a snare that lasts for around 5 seconds) has a hit box that is larger then the visual effect. This is just one of a plenitude of champions that have a kit that has not been touched up over the many years of league being a game. Another issue is exactly that. Turning league of legends into a sport. Truthfully I'm all for this, but keep the sport and game as separate entities. Otherwise when you try to balance one you effect the other one so negatively it makes it unfair for the people who play in that section. Say you balance a certain champions damage to scale with the sport version, most likely it will be to increase the damage output to make the games that last so long shorter. Yet when you do some balancing like that look at what it does for the GAME section of it. It creates an overused monster of a champion that regardless of what counters there were before, makes a damage output only rivaled by other damage outputs like it. Personally I believe that this would make the game better in a sense of making the separate ranks of players different in a sense. Say un-ranked through platinum for the normal game level of balancing of champs, and the sports level balancing is diamond through Challenger-tier.
There is also the balancing of the turrets that I believe need a touch-up. The turrets as they are now are basically useless past champion level 5. They output no damage to champions and with the new change to the dragon buff it has become even more useless. I think that other then a damage buff there should be an armor buff. The reason I think that should happen is that champions like Wu-kong who's q lessens the armor of towers and those like nasus who just do so much damage with their q it renders tower damage useless anyways can push a lane so far in such a short time it doesn't give a team a chance to win. There are other champs that do this as well, adc's especially.
What im trying to get at with this post is that we need to look at the balancing of champions and games in a separate manner from their current outlook of "buff everything so the LCS players can have shorter games" we need to look at it as a separate entity entirely.
