Stationed in Korea, how is the ping if I play on JPN servers since I cant play on ROK's?

I dont wanna waste RP if the ping from JPN to ROK sucks....I want to play on ROK severs but apparently its not possible because here in Korea you need a Korean social security to make an account here....ridiculous. And Riot pretty much said "F U" when I begged for help. I really enjoy LoL, it keeps my mind off the hard work I do day-to-day and being away from my family. I just want to be able to play this game :/

I have played with people from Korea while here in Japan and as far as I could tell their play wasnt bad at all. If possible I would just make a smurf account and try it on some bots to test the connection speed for Japan there. If it is stable enough for you then move your region

play on euw or even na? i live near the [north] korean border and don't have any problems playing on euw (have a high ping to na though)

NA is like 400 ping from the ROK.....so no NA.

na is same for me

but you know, when i played world of warships na, it was around 200 ping to me, it's not like you can't get less than 350-400 from there to the usa, it depends on the routing so you possibly can ask your isp to solve it (huh... well, theoretically) or find another isp, or who knows even ask the riot support (unlikely they will but they theoretically can fix the routing too, to a degree)

it's ~170 to euw for me which is tolerable when you get used to it

you also can try oce, but euw is much better anyway
