@riot my plea for zed/upvote to save zed

to start things off i think that riot does a good job with reworks and balance changes but i think you made a mistake with zed.

zed should not be a niche champion, zed should be a mained champion like azir,rive,yasuo

because of the changes to his ultimate he is only somewhat viable against heavy ad stacking champions

he should be mained by people who play him almost every game like riven mains or yasuo mains

but right now after the changed what is the point of putting 50-100= games into a champion that is only good in very specific circumstances you need to give zed a more distinct and broad strength then just being good against a lot of ad.

i think that a cool way to do this would be to make him the best a picking off multiple low health people in a team fight by giving him a short term reset on his ult like on darious. at first this may seem very broken but i honestly think that there is a lot of room to balance around this idea.the first is that it would only reset his ult, not his basic abilities. doing this would make a lot of decision making about what abilities he wants to use when. for example when you're trying to get the first kill maybe you want to save your w dash to get the second target after the reset but in doing so you also are missing a lot of damage. or maybe you do decide to use all your spells to get the first kill but then you have to wait for their cooldown before you go in again. there are also a lot of counters to stop his reset like zonies and heal.

i honestly think that there is room for the idea of "a highly mobile assassin who excels at taking down multiple, low health single targets".

this at first would seem to overlap with the idea of katerina but their is the big difference in that she has mostly aoe spells while zed would focus on single target damage.

i also want to make the comparison of current zed to someone like annie. while it takes zed roughly 2-3 second to kill one person, annie can flash tibbers insta kill three people with her ult. Now she is also a lot less mobile and has no escapes, but really why would you ever play zed over an insta kill mage like syndra or annie.

but if you give him this unique strength he would be much more satisfying to play.

i would love to her riots thoughts on zed and whether he really should be a niche champion or someone who you can main with a more powerful strength.
