Can we have new champions be unbannable in normal games for a week after their release?
I'd like to actually play as/against/with them.

blinds...
Bruh, kyan is lower on the champselect so it's not just a matter of marking your screen to click spam, you ethier have to scroll or type it in. If you have a laggy client, which a lot of people do now, it's actually impossible to get him in blinds. You legit have better chance in ranked
If you have a laggy client that's a whole different issue beyond not getting Kayn lol.
Premake with friends on blinds then.

Laggy clients are your fault. Stop playing on a toaster and evolve with the technology. Sorry to say but that is reality. The computer industry moves very fast. If you can't keep up with the tech then maybe you shouldn't be playing online. People buy cheap and that's exactly the performance they receive. Not trying to be an ass but there are a whole lot of people playing with no lag from the new client because they understand that.
Pro-tip if you play a custom and scroll to that point in the champion select, then mark the spot on your monitor screen, leaving the custom and queuing for normal blind you will find your champion select pre-scrolled to that point.
This worked for me for years. Maybe it got changed but I doubt it, and it's definitely worth a try.
It's pretty lame when every time a new champion is release to be played, they have a high ban rate. It's really stupid that the community refuses to learn how to adapt. They don't want to learn a new champion matchup. I don't see why not since there is no LP on the line when playing normal games. Banning new champs shows an unwillingness to learn and complacency. New champs may as well not be released if they aren't going to be played.
I'd be fine with them not being able to be banned in normals, since that is what normals are for anyways. Though I still think that new champions should be disabled for ranked for the first week as well. I don't really play ranked much anymore but when I actually do, I'd rather not see me or my team waste bans on something that really shouldn't be in ranked yet in the first place.
I understand your frustration, it sucks having opportunities taken away from you. However, if people don't want to play against him they have every right to ban him.
You can always play blinds, bots, or even training mode or a custom if you want to try him out.
If you start a custom match first and scroll to that point in the champion select, then mark the spot on your monitor screen (you can use scotch tape), leaving the custom and queuing for normal blind you will find your champion select pre-scrolled to that point.
