New Warlord's Bloodlust

When I first saw the most recent patch notes for Warlord's Bloodlust, I was pretty excited to have a buff to the mastery. Despite the fact that it was generally weak early game, I took it on champions with high crit (e.g. the way I usually build Quinn nowadays) for it's great mid-late game potential. It was a great way to synergize with crit for extra damage and kiting potential, with a bit of sustain thrown in just to make everything a little sweeter. In this regard, I thought it was a great mastery, and I was willing to give up the early pressure of Thunderlord's every time for it.

Then I realized that when it was mentioned in the notes that it was getting lifesteal, what wasn't mentioned was that it was losing everything else. I'm dismayed that this has removed all synergy with crit from keystone masteries, and I'm left with not even a vaguely similar alternative to what I had before. Admittedly, this will get me to branch out a little more with my builds on certain champions, but it was nice to have an extra incentive to build crit, and I absolutely loved the feel of the mastery.

Now I'm left with just this lifesteal thing. Sure, that seems great early game and particularly strong on a few champs, but in general if I'm playing and AA champion I'll just build something with lifesteal (there are PLENTY of options). I see that this mastery could still be great late game on some champs, but for ADCs I'm not convinced it's really all that great past early-mid game.

Anyone have any thoughts? My take-away here is that a great AA mastery has been taken away and I'd love to see something similar come back in one form or another. Heck, I'd be thrilled to even have something that has to do with crit in the keystones.

Why would you need an extra incentive to build crit.

Champs who build crit do great with it, those who don't build crit, don't.

I actually really like it. It can now work really well with champions like Swain, Sion, and Akali. It has far more flexibility now.
