I'm pretty much 1'v5'd as amumu before. It's so fun Q'ing onto that ADc and just annihilating them before they can do anything.

Better if you get into their whole team because then you get a pentakill.

Well Amumu doesn't deal that much damage... if he misses his Q... doesn't auto attack his target and he misses his E and R and somehow isn't able to get people inside his W...

Though that doesn't really happen...

Well duh.. and most of the time Amumu deals good amount of damage unless his team somehow get instantly demolished Though in the late game... his damage is mediocre... since well ADC's just have such insane damage and pretty much outshine everyone but Amumu deals good damage considering how tanky he can build (or he can deal amazing damage but being more squishy)

If you build right, you can still be a huge 1v1 threat. item 3151 is the only damage item he needs.

People confuse anything other than burst damage with no damage. It can be sad sometimes. Amumu doesnt have a lot of burst, even if you build full ap he still doesnt seem to really 100-0 anyone unless you are hella fed, but his dps over time is one of the best. Combine that with single target lock down, and aoe stun...devastating to say the least, but as always he has to be played correctly otherwise he can be relatively lackluster, but then again any champion with a poor pilot can be crap :-\

Amumu is one of those few sustained magic damage champions, but his ult plus E can do a nice amount of burst damage mid game when you're around lvl 11

Im not saying he cant chunk anyone down, but the katrina like 100-0 just isnt amumu's style, however if their team wants to make a death ball...amumu finally finds a moment of hapiness, because he zip line in and begin the melts! If anyone can find a way to follow up with like a sejuani or morgana ult...amumu wont be the only crying when this ones over :P

Bandage toss actually has a really high AP ratio, an AP 'mumu can 100-0 a squishy with just Q>R>E, not to mention that W deals +8% max HP per second with an AP build...

very rarely are there ap builds on amumu, usually selected for cc and utility and tanky nature. no one said he flat out "cant do it" but under the traditional build path, he is more of a damage over time champ...but that damage over time is pretty nasty and the fact that most people just dont get it...is what this thread is about :P

He doesn't need to 100-0. 100-50 or 100-75 are enough to win a teamfight given the cc that comes with it, and the fact that you're still around with liandry's infused tears and a nasty mr debuff.

Still puzzles me why people think tanks should do 0 damage.

I mean, with all the mobility and counters to cc, you'd wonder why. If tanks didn't deal any damage at all, people would practically be able to completely ignore them and they'd become glorified supports who get farm :/

The damage is an incentive to deal with the tanks rather than ignore them, imo. Not everyone should focus the tank, but the adc should be able to shred them come late game.

Amumu's constant damage with his W, E, and cinderhulk right now is really strong, add an Abyssal on top of his passive MR shred and his damage really adds up in a team fight.

He's always been strong in solo queue. He has one of the fastest clears of all tanks and has sick damage reduction to boot. Add in the fact that he has a great AoE teamfight ult, can fight in your minion wave with disgusting efficiency, and adds a moderate amount of sustain damage, and you have a very strong champ

Not saying that I agree with them (I very much don't), one thing that they might actually intend to be saying is that Amumu takes a while to deal damage.

Unless Amumu is building a more bruiser build (or a trollish heavy damage build), it usually takes a while for him to deal large amounts of damage.

Rammus against a full AD comp. I had 300 AD, 700 armor, W did about 150 damage, thornmail existed... I would 1v5 and get a penta losing half my life. I rolled in and with a full rotation, I'd 100-0 their trist (this was old trist), full rotation being Q>REW, and by the time the taunt ended, she was dead. They simply could not comprehend a full tank destroying people.

Ever since Cinderhulk, Amumu just has to stand near his target for them to die. Cinderhulk + W + E + R is incredible. Use Q to get real close to them too. Passive to increase the damage. Amumu will always have a balanced to high win rate because his kit doesn't have any useless spells, all of them have synergy, and all of them work with all of his viable builds. They are also simple and very effective. Basically, Amumu is the one of the few champions in my opinion that is made to 100% effectiveness and fun.

Man I knocked people's socks off today with Amumu, I was legendary then the whole team built against me. I had Rylai, The mask, Archangel's, rabadon's, mercs, and cinderhulk and it was so disgusting for like 30 minutes or so until everyone built a shitload of MR and my team was doing no damage, not following up on engages so we lost LOL. I had a great time though, that game I think I only missed one bandage the whole game and it felt really good.
