PSA: Your Jungler is Allowed to take CS from your lane when you're gone

PulsarPollo··3 votes·1,034 views

This is the same issue with bot lane. People simply fail to understand the concept of "wasted CS". A jungler's job is to roam the map and gank his allies and as during his roaming, an ally might die in an engage. I've heard tons of people complaining about "taking my cs" but you're not the one last hitting it because you're dead, so it's going to waste. Letting your jungler take it is quite beneficial to you and him as he needs the gold for income and you can push their tower easier knowing that part/all of a wave is gone.

Can I clear something up here? Cuz this topic is a bit more complicated than anybody is admitting:

It's about how you take cs.

For example:

a) If ally is gone (and wont be back soon) and enemy is still in lane, you are to last hit only. If you push the wave, the enemy has a chance to freeze wave on their side and you effectively screw your ally over when they come back to lane.

b) If both ally and enemy are gone (and neither will be back soon) then hard push the wave. If you force it under tower at a time where the tower wastes the xp and gold without stalling the next wave, then do it. You force the lane to be reset at the evenly pushed mark and cause the enemy to miss out on a wave of xp/gold.

c) If ally is gone (and wont be back soon) and enemy is on the way back, last hit only. These are for the same reasons as example a

d) If both will be back soon, last hit only. These are for the same reasons as example a

Now obviously there are exceptions and these are situational example, but use your head. If you can't push the wave fast enough to reset the lane, or the enemy jungler is around to freeze lane for the enemy laner, or etc etc etc, be smart about it. Don't be that douche jungler that hard-pushes every lane to force your ally into a gankable position just to cs.

Sincerely, Slythion

P.S. - I hope this cleared it up for those who didn't know this stuff or any new players that are just starting jungling

Ignore Ybur, he is a noob regardless of his rank if he thinks that way.

If the wave is pushing towards your tower and its going to be wasted by tower, there is literally no reason at all not to take it. If the ADC or laner is nearby that is another story, but if they just backed or died and its already there, there is literally no harm in it.

Just ignore those players and do what you need to do. One big rule I learned in League is FK your teammates and what they have to say, if you are confident you know what you are doing, then who gives a fk what they have to say. My mentality has always been if I am confident on what I am doing, I will ignore whatever some idiot on my team says, but if I am not sure of myself already, then take their input. In this season were 1 champ getting ahead is usually the factor that wins games, fk what your team says if it allows you or a laner to get ahead, since once its done, the game will just follow off that.

Yea, I realized that. Play by how the game is going, not a 100% set way. This "Platinum" doesn't understand that. I 100% agree with you. ~ruski

If i am really low on hp and need to back while the enemy wave is about to push to my tower i ask my jungler to come to my lane and farm the wave while i back. I would rather someone get the exp and gold rather then no one.

On the other hand junglers that do this will either

A) farm the wave then hyper push your lane so you have nothing to come back to and puts you at risk of being ganked again.

Or

B) be to stubborn or stupid to come at all and lose both the wave and tbe tower because apperntly wolves are more important.

I dont mind if a jungler defends my lane while i back and gets a wave of cs out if it. What i do mind is if they take that wave And the next. And the next one and leave me with my own wave already at the enemy tower and me open to another gank and without a enemy minion waVe to farm on return. Thus putting me behind in gold and exp to my opponent.

They should know when you come back so they stop, so that shouldn't really be a problem. ~ruski

There is a time to last hit, and there is a time to push all the way to the turret, so that waves reset and enemy jungler has to come farm cs, or lose it to tower.

No he isnt you dumbass. I feel bad for your teammate when they get a wave of xp denied by their own teammate and fucks up the wave as well.

Just the fact that you're getting salty at me makes me really doubt your actual skill, because it's common knowledge. ~ruski

Lmao. You have to be trolling. Im not even gonna bother with a shitty jungler that doesnt even know how to not fuck up their laner.

Taking CS from an uninhabited lane is not "F**King up your laner". It is taking CS that would have been wasted had it been killed by other minions or by the tower. You are a platinum, you should know this. (Unless you boosted your rank, that is the first conclusion I came to) ;) ~ruski

PSA: Can the jungler take cs from my lane without pushing it and exposing me to ganks?

What does one have to do with the other? Just because you're gone doesn't mean that your jungler pushing your lane like a dumbass won't push your lane to enemy's tower, therefore exposing you to ganks and making you an easy kill

Lol, no it's not. But rotating is perfectly okay and recommended for when top goes bot to gank with TP and you just want to keep the enemy laner from taking top turret.

It all depends on **how **you take CS.

If you reset the wave or freeze it on your side of the lane for your ally when they return, then you are fine.

If you push the wave and let it freeze on the enemy's side of the lane, you may have just screwed them over by letting them get zoned from minions and forced to overextend in lane.

If the minion wave is hard-shoving towards your tower while you ally is dead, then you can either clear it completely or trim it and leave it frozen outside of your tower for your ally to return to.

I commonly cover lanes when my allied laners are elsewhere (i.e. dead or roaming) and I gather a significant amount of gold and experience which would have been missed otherwise. However, I make sure to leave the lane in a position favourable for my laner when they return.

In addition, it is quite acceptable for a jungler to help you push in the wave after killing the enemy laner(s). After a successful gank, I will commonly push the minions into the enemy tower and clear the incoming wave too. This ensures that the enemy laner misses more gold and typically ensures that the minion wave will fully reset.
