What actually is nerfed about sion?

IDEMO NA MUDA··2 votes·1,380 views

His Q hits you even when you're OUTSIDE of its borders, his damage as a tank is literal bullshit comparing to any other fighter who actually builds AD, he can outdamage every fighter in the game on every given level. So, what's nerfed actually?

You could stun him during the long wind up.

IDEMO NA MUDA1 votes

What you define as "long"? He needs 1 second to charge Q enough to stun you in the meantime you cant dodge it since you're gonna get slowed by his E for sure

Nyarlathοtep

Then dont get hit by his e? Use some logic.

IDEMO NA MUDA1 votes

Try dodging his E without having any sort of ability to dash or something like so.

Nyarlathοtep

Though it depends a lot on the distance its pretty possible (though it becomes increasingly difficult if he uses a minion). Besides if he didnt have a slow in his kit, he wouldnt be able to land a full q.

IDEMO NA MUDA1 votes

Any sion in my elo, at least, ALWAYS, uses E on a minion. Unless he's chasing you, then he'll just E and if he misses, lol, he's gonna ult your ass up.

Nyarlathοtep

Well duh ofc he will use it on a minion if its possible. What im trying to say is that, you cant remove his slow without gutting him. Reduce it? Sure why not. But not outright remove it.

IDEMO NA MUDA1 votes

No one ever said anything about removing it

Its almost as if sion is meant to be a juggernaut; AD/HP without good mobility.
Juggs =/= tanks Bruisers =/= tanks Fighters =/= tanks Fighters =/< bruisers Fighters =/< Juggs

Tanks generally scale with AP and resistances, and have a stat- emphasis on resistances and HP. Fighters/juggs are emphasis on AD and HP. Bruisers are an emphasis on AD/resistances (so they can dive).

But he isnt. He is a tank. Bruisers and fighters are the same. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Fighter

Uhh... Bruisers are a sub class of fighter. Fighters are not the same as bruisers. Nothing in sions kit says hes a tank. His HP thing is just a holdover from his previous iteration, and his CC makes him a decent disruptor.

You understand why a rectangle isnt a square but a square is a rectangle right? The definition of a juggernaut is a melee champion who prefers AD and HP itemization but lacks immediate mobility. The definition of a diver is a melee champion who prefers AD/resistance itemization and has immediate mobility. The definition of a fighter is a melee champion.

As i said; Juggs are not tanks. Bruisers are not tanks. Fighters are not tanks. Fighters are not bruisers, but bruisers are fighters. Fighters are not juggs, but juggs are fighters. The exception to the jugg rule is the wierd state urgot is in, as he is theoretically a juggernaut but lacks juggernaut itemization. Making urgot extended melee and his W independent of his basic attacks would definitely help a lot to bring him in line.

So if he isn't a tank, why is his regular build absolutely HP armor and MR stacking?

I dont know, why does Darius build cleaver as his sole offense item? Sion usually builds a tiamat item, and once we get atmas hes going to build atmas.

Fighters are also known as bruisers. They are the same, whether you call someone bruiser or fighter. They are synonyms. And no sion's kit screams tank. He has cc and durability. Durability encompasses both high health pool and high resistances. A tank's job is to disrupt the enemy and soak enemy fire.

The definition of a juggernaut is this "Juggernauts are melee titans who relentlessly march down the opposition and devastate those foolish enough to get within their grasp. They are the only subclass who excel at both dealing and taking significant amounts of damage, but in turn they have a tough time closing in on targets due to their low range and extremely limited mobility", aka high durability, high damage but no mobility.

The definition of a diver is this "Divers are the more mobile portion of the Fighter class. Divers excel at singling out high-priority targets to blitz toward, immediately forcing those targets (and their teammates) to deal with the diver’s presence. Divers are not as durable as the tanks or juggernauts of the world, but Divers can take their fair share of punishment while bringing enough damage to be a real kill threat if left unchecked", aka not as durable or damaging as juggies but more mobile.

The definition of a fighter is this "Fighters (also known as Bruisers) are a diverse group of short-ranged combatants who excel at both dealing and surviving damage." Fighters then are subclassed to juggernauts and divers.

As i said; Juggs are not tanks. Bruisers are not tanks. Fighters are not tanks. Fighters are not bruisers, but bruisers are fighters. Fighters are not juggs, but juggs are fighters.

Ehem Juggs are not tanks. Bruisers are not tanks. Fighters are not tanks. Fighters and bruisers are the exactly the same. Some fighters are juggs, but juggs are fighters.

The exception to the jugg rule is the wierd state urgot is in, as he is theoretically a juggernaut but lacks juggernaut itemization.

Wrong he practically is a juggernaut. His kit is made to deal heavy damage, while also absorbing a fair amount of damage. His ranged nature makes it difficult to use some items but he is a juggernaut to the very core.

You do understand the concept of a sub class, right? Jayce for example is a fighter. Hes not a bruiser, hes not a jugg... Hes a fighter with no subclass. Gangplank Is also fighter who isnt a bruiser or a jugg.

Fighters are NOT synonymous with with bruiser - bruiser is a specific sub class of the fighter main class. Or do you think that caster is synonymous with mage too?

Nyarlathοtep

Actually there is also a specialist. There go the ones that well dont fit to pretty much everything else. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Specialist

Gp is a specialist and jayce, well jayce should be in there too to be fair. <removed by moderation> http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Fighter

But Sion never builds AD and still deals a lot of damage.

Yeah, early on and against squishies with no sustain because hes a juggernaut and has good base damage. Also every sion ive seen buys at least a tiamat item for waveclear unless theyre support.

Who the fuck buys Tiamat on a champion whose WHOLE kit is AoE...?

Because titanic hydra is very nice, and in the later stages of the game his EQ doesnt clear as fast as he needs to. Plus the titanic proc is good burst...?

His strength at late game is more than enough to clear waves, Titanic is not necessary on him since he isn't AA focused & you're more dependable on being highly tanky by building more HP/Armor/MR items & dealing proper CC disruption.

I don't know where these boys saw Tiamat on Sion. I've literally never seen Tiamat on Sion this season on competent players.

Snowman Arc1 votes

I've never seen a pro Sion or any challenger Sion build Tiamat. His Q and E are more than enough to wave clear.
