How to make a good post in Gameplay arguing the balance of a champion

I see post after post saying that some champion is too weak or too strong. But the way they're written is just disappointing. I might have agreed with that person that Cassiopeia in the top lane should not be so powerful, but because all they said was: "Cass too ####ing OP delete this broken champ", I'm inclined to disagree. I've seen my fair share of Gameplay posts and I've made my fair share as well, so I've managed to patch together the best way to debate the state of a champion. Here's how to make a good post in Gameplay arguing the balance of a champion.

######Disclaimer: Examples used are just that: examples. Just because I say Garen might need a buff to his W or general tankiness does not mean I fervently believe this or disbelieve it. I am merely using an example and am not displaying my actual views on Garen. Your beliefs on Garen should not interfere with the overall post since I am not arguing the balance of a champion and am merely using examples that I have not confirmed the validity of nor do I care to do so.

  1. Gather information on said champion's winrates (In every role they play, if you want to say Swain is too powerful, you have to take information from his top and mid game, not just top).

  2. Determine what makes them weak/strong by playing them in PvP matches (Why is Zed suffering such a low winrate? You can't just say "Zed is weak", you have to find out what part of his kit you believe is making him weak).

  3. Make a thesis statement for your post (What is your post in one sentence? "Riven ultimate too strong of a powerspike" "Nasus Q needs to be stronger than E").

  4. Type the post out using formatting, proper spelling and grammar, links to winrate and patch note information, all that good stuff (Try to put it in an easy-to-understand order and make edits as necessary).

  5. Respond to comments with a level of calmness and not rage because someone disagrees with you (explain why Sion's Q shouldn't have such a long channel time or Tristana's Rocket Jump should make her untargetable while in the air).

  6. Stay out of peoples' profile information because that is rude and self-degrading (Since you evidently must dig through their stuff to shove it in their face that "they're Bronze and their opinion doesn't matter" rather than coming up with a well-informed response, it makes it look like you've ran out of comebacks).

An example of a post I did a while back adhering to these rules is this: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/VgAWqA0x-remove-glitterlances-damage-reduction-and-replace-it-with-70-reduced-damage-to-minions

Obviously, it was well accepted because I didn't just say the changes to Lulu were a bad idea and should be reverted, I proposed a change that would complement all roles (with the exception of jungle, which would be untouched by such changes). Support would be better, mid would be better but still have counterplay, and top would hopefully not have to see Lulu. Additionally, I talked with those that commented to explain my point.

I would link an example to a poorly made post, but you just have to look at the front page of Gameplay for that.

######And, mods, while you do your job and I appreciate that, this does belong in Gameplay and not Misc or another board because nobody from a board other than Gameplay wants to see this guide. It's completely intended for Gameplay frequents. Thanks.
