Riot probably made Shield Bash without knowing...

Wow, 39 + 1.5 x 0 bonus health + 34 (8.5% of 400 shield, which is generous) = 73 damage, at level 18. So much damage.

The mechanics of the rune actually make it a supoptimal choice for most ADCs - you'll get more mileage out of Chrysalis (6 AD), Legend: AS or Bloodline (18% AS or 8% Lifesteal) or even Zombie Ward as an ADC.

What adc's build health, aside from maybe Lucian building BC? I know we give Riot shit for balancing, but I think assuming they made it "without knowing" an entire set of champions could also use it is in the realm of the unlikely. I would be more worried about someone like Ekko taking this with the amount of AP+Health items available - imagine him walking into his W for the shield and then E'ing with shield bash. Even Viktor would be more worrisome with this rune than ADCs.

Sure they can take it, similar to overheal with raka.

Also its not janna meta.... Its 5x shield bash karma meta.

Iirc It only procs to self-casted shields.
