I'm not even a support player, and it's great to see the mini-rework changes to champs like Leona, Sona, and Tahm so far. Adding some extra flavour to the gameplay of the role and to the others being supported is great to see, even if they're just tiny changes. I'm all for giving the support mains out there more stuff. Much respect!
The item changes are looking pretty awesome too. Nothing drastic, but Ruby Sightstone is way better, and Forbidden Idol will buff heals/shields which makes its upgrades quite a bit more appealing.
As a support main and Sona player in general, I will tell you that these Sona changes are trash.
I qon't rant on it unless anyone asks me to, but I'll say this.
No support should have to wait for late game buffs to become relevant when your adc needs you relevant in lane. Sona's laning phase is going to be horrible now, there's really no point in bringing her when I have champions that will function so much better in lane.
Early game/laning phase is probably the most important part of the game for an adc and they really need their support to keep them protected and get them fed. Sona's laning phase is going to be utter garbage, so why should I bring her if I know Nami and Raka, my other 2 mains, will get the job done much better.
I'm not really liking the Sona or Leo changes, but whatever, Riot apparently think they know whats best, even know Sona still keeps getting gutted.
The best thing they can do for supports right now is make it so you won't have the highest mmr on your team. Being expected to carry when top and mid are feeding is bullshit.

who doesn't love endless stunlock, now with movespeed boosts :^)
I can't say I'm too fond of Leona losing quite a bit of damage, and the cc nerf to her Q just for Incandescence... but I'll reserve judgement until I actually play her when the changes hit live
As a Tahm support main, the changes have me worried. Not on board with what I've seen so far.
It's alright, though how they handled Lulu was kinda bad.
Though expected from Riot anyways, since they're so hesistant on nerfing Lulu solo lane despite it doesn't need any form of compensation buffs.
